I can find the asymptotes no problem, but having trouble with the intercepts
G(x)= (x+2) / x^2+2x-3
G(x)= (x^2-3x-7) / (x+3)

I'm getting married in a few years and we are paying for the whole thing ourselves (we already started saving). I already asked my dad and he said he is broke, although he loves us as a couple. My parents however plan on inviting co-workers and friends and neighbors to my wedding. Their friends will outnumber my friends for sure. This is bugging me because I plan on having good quality food at the reception and on Long Island that can run more than $100 a plate.

I'm kinda pissed because my parents don't want to chip in but they want me to pay to entertain their friends and co-workers at my wedding.

Am I being irrational for wanting to elope?

Why do people really care how he feels about other races.. I think that it is his life and I agree with him. I don't like them either. So I don't know why everyone is going all crazy they act like he is the only person that is racist!! Seriously, I guess if I want some attention and the whole world mad at me then I will call someone and make a video of that!!

Option A: Apartment shared with ex boyfriend, all your stuff is already there, take over lease from him for $900 a month. 25 minutes from work. Huge walk in closet, large laundry room, vaulted ceilings, 2 br. 10 months left on lease.

Option B: Apartment in same complex as A just a mile away. $1200 a month. Smaller bedrooms, smaller laundry room, bigger kitchen and dining/living room area. still 25 minutes from work. 5 month lease beginning Wed $1500 up front.

Option C: A friend's house; 50 minutes to work. $500 a month plust $200 for stuff that would have to go into storage. No rent until Dec. Smallest bedroom and all personal belongings would end up in storage; wouldn't be personalized.

This is an important question, so please only serious answers from Christians. My boyfriend confided in me about 3 weeks ago that for years, he has watched porn and masturbated. Of course, I was horrified, as he figured I would be. He said he has wanted to quit and finally feels like he has incentive to (me). That's why he even decided to tell me. He destroyed all of his porn and hasn't done it since. He says it's hard but he knows I will not put up with it. He has been reading books to help and everything.
I am a virgin and am waiting til marriage, which he respects. That's why this is so ironic. I can't help but wonder if God sent him to me to help him through this and see what is right. I love him and have no doubt that he loves me. I just don't want to look back years from now and regret not taking the "out" when I had the chance. What should I do? Anyone think that there is a chance in hell that the Vikings can make the playoffs this year? Their defense is solid (sometimes) and they have the best back in the league. I think they could sneak in with a wild card. Your take?

I had volunteered my 10 year old daughter this summer to be a scorekeeper for a local minor league baseball team.

At first she seemed to really enjoy the job and spending time at the ball park. However, she did make quite a few mistakes in scoring the game initially. I really had to go out on a limb to get her this job and didn't appreciate her taking it so lightly.

Eventually I stepped in to help her while she and her stupid mother went on a vacation to the Lakes. That was disappointing, but tolerable.
What was NOT tolerable was my daughter then failing to return to scorekeeping with an improved attitude and ability.

I had her watch 3-5 hours of baseball a day. My goal is to have her work for the local team after High School. Why doesn't she see this as a great idea? Not only is it an interesting career for her, but it would allow me to get into the games free.

This is NOT satisfactory, and I am beyond broken and betrayed at my daughter's lack of faith in my vision

Atheists, just how do we create a concept of an infinite God? I've heard it stated many times by atheists, that we create our own 'God Myth'. Give me an example of an infinity, that a single mind made up with, without hearing it from someone else. It would seem to me that the modern concepts of infinity, are the result of many years of effort and thought by many people. I'm looking for an example of an infinity, that occured in a single, finite mind because I suspect that person must be very wise.

I want a heating source for my otherwise unheated upstairs.
I have an oil air furnace for the downstairs. Do not want ducts running thru the inside walls to the upstairs....have propane for hot water....any thoughts on Renai or Monitor heaters...propane vs. ? other sources... I have a chimney that runs upstairs also, but has the furnace and woodstove running off it downstairs. The most economical source is wanted.
Also, it will be only heating at 60 degrees. The lowest it gets in the stark winter is 38, pretty chilly sleeping !
