First off i would like to thank everyone for "raising" me and watching me grow as I learn to use my camera. I would also like to add that I DO know that just gettin on yahoo answers and asking questions will not make me a photographer overnight or maybe at all but all of your answers are still appreciated and I wouldnt ask if the answers weren't helping me. I have been playing around with M mode all week and now i have another question -- SUPRISE! - ok, so here it is. When i take pics with this camera, (in any mode) - and then i get on the computer and look at them I have noticed that the pictures that i take in the house have a light pink or peach tint to them. I know i can change the white balance to get different results or just fix them on photoshop, but i dont want to have to do that. My old camera had the same "problem" and there was a filter lens available to get rid of it. Is there a filter lens available for this on my Nikon D40? I dont want to spend more than 100 dollars.

I am trying to find a good, re-wearable bridesmaid dress for my June wedding. I have seen brides pick some extremely un-re-wearable bridesmaid dresses and say that they chose them because they wanted their attendants to be able to wear them again. I am beginning to think being a bride has the potential to make one delusional. Anyway, I have found a few bridesmaid dresses I am considering, and I would love your opinion on them. For my mothers 50th birthday my dad and I are going to suprise her with a vacation to somewhere in reason. Well, my mom will know about the place but not the events we are going to do.

Im 13 and my dad is 53. So it would only be us three. Where would be a better place for vacay cancun or the grand cayman islands? Any other suggestions? We reside in Manhatten so nothing too far away.

These are some commen interests of ours:

Beaches, clear beaches lol not the Atlantic ocean
Culture is what i like mostly, like ruins and natural sights
Shopping is my moms special thing
Activites like, which one has more stuff to do bc we would be there for 7 to 10 days.
And what adventure activties could i do in _____ (your choice: cancun or grand cayman)

What i mean by that is like snorkeling, underground caves, horseback riding on the ocean., parasailing, etc.

The altitude of a geosynchronous orbit is 3.58 x 10^7m. What is the period of the motion? What is the value of g at this orbit? What is the apparent weight of a 2000kg satellite at this g?




Now, I found the period to be 24hr, and the value of g to be 0.223m/s/s. But I cannot seem to find a formula to correctly calculate the apparent weight of the satellite with this information.
