Christians that I know and have known: will pray for those in need, then give what they can spare to help meet that need, sometimes sacrificially. They reach out with news of salvation and are motivated by the love of God, not the fear of damnation.
They try to follow Christ. When they are wrong, they admit it to God and to others and ask forgiveness.

All the "real" Christians, Jews, Hindus, Muslims,Parsees, etc living around me who are living "Do to others as you wish done to yourself' are a real blessing in my life and to society.
These people are contributing to charities in money and time. These people help not only "their own kind' but also those who are not so.
The religionists and irreligionists who are not doing the above are a different story.
, yet I believe that God will use them also as a blessing in some way

Sundar, This is such a nice question.
My next door Christian neighbor is having gatherings in her house with others concerned about the persecuted Church or needy children in other countries. Through a 'Voice of the Martyrs' program, we can put packages of necessities together to send to those suffering persecution.

Many Christians living around me are not fundamentalists and tend to be more considerate and open-minded than most fundamentalists I've encountered.
Most Christians living around me, whether fundamentalist or not, are law-abiding citizens and behave pretty much like everybody else around here.

Most Christians I know are very kind and compassionate; giving and considerate; helpful and nice.
It is often in the actions and behavior of other Christians I can see the spirit of God.

They care about me and others. They are honest and try their best to live as Jesus taught us to live. They help the impoverished and minister to the sick. They take food to people who need it. They give money to charities. They help build homes for the homeless.
They work at shelters for abused women and children. They give their time to volunteer at animal shelters, hospitals, schools, etc.

Many are sweet and trustworthy. Some are pushy and judgmental. I know more good ones than bad ones.
