There are 4 main areas in Ireland for IT stuff:

Dublin and it's suburbs. Probably the biggest concentration of IT companies but an expensive place to live.

Limerick, a lot of IT stuff going on around this place with a large IT college.

Cork, not too far a way from Limerick with a lot of software.

Galway, another town with a lot of software.

Have a lok at this Irish government web site, it will give you a good over view of the IT industry.
