I mean, a person is stuck to his/her place then how does that person move? Don't you think it may actually be more dangerous if one wears a seat belt while driving? Because one can move easily to comfort zones if not wearing a seat belt.

I know all the car safety experts recommend wearing a seat-belt, so obviously my logic is wrong. But what is the scientific reason in wearing a seat-belt?

I have a 17yr old TB mare that is really bossy and demanding when it comes to food. She is absolutely fine in the paddock, walking her, fine to catch etc. but she just gets so worked up when she thinks you have food. For example, the other day I went to see her (she doesnt live at our place-but i see her approx. 4 days a week) and i stood out in the paddock and waited for her to come to me (usually she comes as soon as she sees you, but she was just being all stubborn) and i waited for a while, then i walked back towards the gate to wait for her there, but she must of thought I was leaving her without feeding her. She reared up and galloped into the paddock I was in (there's 2 paddocks, but she can access both) and when I got on the other side of the gate, coz I didnt want to get kicked or anything (u never know, she could do something like that, though she hasnt done it before), and she stopped at the gat and then started pawing the ground and making these weird hyped up whinny sounds

Some one once asked if we Atheist would believe in God if we saw him. We said yes, all we need is proof. Now my question is: would Christians not believe in God if they didn't see him?

Jesus said that love is giving to the needy, feeding the hungry, helping the injured, etc. God does none of this. God watches the hungry starve, knowing he could do something. So if God is loving doesn't that mean the same love Jesus was talking about? If not, it is totally meaningless to call God loving.

I recently learned that my gf of 4 months seems to think that "taken from behind" (no, I don't mean in the exit door) positions are disrespectful and demeaning towards women, because it means we don't want to look at their face, or something.
Do any other women feel this way? I have never heard this and honestly don't know where she came up with that idea. I certainly do not feel or think about it that way so, what's the deal?

Hello everyone. First of all, I am seventeen. I was always so sure that the legal age for my state was 18, when it is in fact 19. It's strange because we're allowed to marry at 18 without parental consent, but cannot get an apartment until 19 on our own will. And also, the reason I'm mainly asking this, is because I'm graduating next year and my friends and I have planned a graduation trip to Europe, and maybe some other countries. Would I have to get parental consent to go abroad, or would I just have to find an airline that considers 18 an adult? (Because I ran into one that wouldn't let you fly without consent unless you were 19) And I'm just confused about this whole thing, because it seems silly to me. I just want to know what I can or cannot do. And I need an answer or else I'll be thinking about this until my eighteenth birthday. :)

I'm living in New York City and I'm flying out to Los Angeles to see my family for Thanksgiving. Now I have a bunch of young nieces and nephews (ages 6-14) and they are absolutely crazy over sweets. This is my first year in NYC, and so I wanted to bring them something sweet and New Yorkish. It hit me to buy two dozen Magnolia Bakery cupcakes.

Now the question: am I allowed to carry-on these cupcakes? I can't check them in or they will definately lose their shape and get messy. My best thought was to buy a bunch of plastic containers and put the cupcakes in it so that they're "sealed". Is this viable? Or should I rethink what to get my nieces/nephews and buy other sweets (any suggestions to this also?)?

one of my really good friends gave me a poem yesterday to show me his appreciation of our friendship. And the poem was just stunningly beautiful and brought tears in my eyes when i read it. He took the credit for writing the poem himself, saying that it took him about half a day to write it. However later on, just out of curiosity I Google-d it and found that he had copied the poem from a poetry website. The words were identical but the verses had been rearranged by him to make it sound nicer. So now I don't know what to say to him. I'm thinking of just ignoring it because I don't want to make him feel bad.
Do you think I should confront him about it?
