Well legal age in Michigan is 16 and she turns 15 this month. Acording to Michigan law she can be 16 and be with 16 and up.

Think about your future and the possibility of having a permanent criminal record. It's not worth paying for it the rest of your life.

It is not wrong to love her, it is wrong to have sex with her. In Georgia there was a highly controversial court case that just ended. In it a 17 year-old guy had been sent to prison for 10 years after having consentual oral sex with a 15 year old girl. He served more than 2 years in prison before being freed on the grounds that his sentence was cruel and unusual punishment of the sort barred by the Constitution. If you thinks this sounds totally crazy you can check out one of the news stories I read here:

That court case didn't say that the age difference issue should be struck from the books, it just decided that 10 years of hard time is too much. I don't necessarily agree with the law, but it should still be taken seriously. The last thing you want is to be a 40-year-old explaining why you have a criminal record featuring "exploitation of a minor." This doesn't mean you can't love and appreciate her, as well as spending time together. Assess your feelings and acknowledge within yourself what it is that you like about her. Is it that she's smart and funny, or is it that she's little and innocent? If it's the later then there may be a deeper, psychological issue that needs to be addressed because those are attributes of her age and she won't be that way forever. If, however, you genuinely love her, you should love her enough not to put both of your futures on the line by pushing things.
I wish you the best of luck.

Yes, it kindof is. The law says she cant make those decisons yet. If u 2 are meant to be waiting a few years wont kill you. Maybe you should try dating some other people just for a little while. Let her be young. Do u remember yourself at 14? I know its tough but the right thing to do is leave her alone for just a couple years.... U can always be friends byt try not to make more complicated then that. Well Wishes!

I saw end it now to be safe. You never know.. something could be said that shouldn't (not necessarily her) and you could be acussed of the wrong thing. Remember you will be 18 next year. You could get locked up and get put on the sexual criminal list for the rest of your life. Think about how old you are. If you don't know how that works you will be put on a website where you have to register your current residing address so your neighbors are aware that someone like you lives in their area. Is it really worth it? Surely there are some females in your HS that you are attracted to. I assume that you are going to get some rough responses to this questions so hopefully it's enough to convince you.

It is wrong for the moment. Allow her to grow up some, if you truly love her-- When she is a couple years older, then take a second look. If you (and she) still feels the same, then start thinking about that. Law isn't always correct-- my mother was 16 when she was married to my (then)21-year-old father.

I think whether you date her or not depends on her parents. If they allow the relationship, I would keep it informal until she comes of age. Double date (witnesses), or at the very least, always stick to public places without booze. Do not be completely alone for any considerable length of time with her. If she is the right one for you, you two will still be attracted to each other 3-4 years down the road.

I agree with everyone who said just watch your actions, however I know friends who were in exacty same situation. They met when she was 14 and he 17, she's now 18 and a half and hes just about 21 and they're still together. So as long as you play by the rules now there really shouldn't be any reason why you can't love her. Good luck!

WHY??? is it WRONG? Most of my ancestors live in MI, PawPaw, St Harbor, Detroit, Suue St Marie, Kalamazoo, Ann Harbor, so Im curious, You arent 18!

Adult is 18.
My parents got married on my Momma's 17th birthday. :)
They thought they were gonna have to elope, cause they didnt think my Gramps was gonna sign! Daddy is 5 years older, which would put him at, lets see, 21???
They started dating at 14 and 18......I guess the laws have changed in 50 years, but i still dont think 17 is adult. If you LOVE HER whats wrong with holding her hand and going to the movie? Just dont do the deed!!! I dont think its so wize to do that anyhow! If you really LOVE HER, you can WAIT! right!????? :)

If you really love her then you can wait until it's OK (or at least legal) to be with her.
I understand you may feel like the world will end, but look at it this way; would it help either of you to get yourself thrown in jail?
If you spend time apart then your relationship will strengthen if it's true love. Then when you're together, you'll appreciate each other even more.

I'm in sunny-shine state California.
So every State has their own Laws. So I don't know.

Try only being 'Good Friends'
for 3 to 4 years instead, dude.
What's the rush?
And She'll wait for you to go {steady} 4 years from now, if you ask her to if she loves you enough.

Give it a try.

That law is BS....who the hell would make such a law....u are allowed to express free will and feelings....just as long as sex isnt involve cuz yes u do have to be older and so does she....but nothing should prevent u 2 from going out and having a good time....and she may need guidance from you as she gets older and she experiences more things.....
