Okay, this is what happened. I saw a horrible large spider and screamed for my husband to kill it. He went after it with a large wad of paper towels, then flushed it. Then the toilet was unable to be flushed after that, so I tried to plunge it. Next thing I knew, the toilet overflowed! I turned off the water, but every time I start to turn it back on it tries to overflow again. Does anyone know what could be the problem? Please, only serious answers. I'm so aggravated, and I KNOW I shouldn't have allowed the paper towels into the toilet. :-(

Pls star if you love this story...Thx.

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed: "Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her body to switch with mine for a day. Amen.
God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish.

The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners and stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping, then drove home to put away the groceries, paid the bills and balanced the cheque book. He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog.

Then it was already 1 P.M. and he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor. Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home. Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework, then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing. At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad, breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper.

After supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 P.M. he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaint.

The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said: "Lord, I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home all day. Please, oh please, let us trade back."

The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied: "My son, I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were. You'll just have to wait nine months, though. You got pregnant last night."

He and I aren't like a couple anymore. He embarasses me in front of his friends (telling me what to do, yelling sometimes etc). I don't feel attracted to him, and he doesn't take my concerns seriously. If something bothers me (like his rudeness towards me).. he'll bring up something miniscule.

What should I do? His lack of regards for me make me want to leave the country and get citizenship some where else.

1. Criminal Joe - a child molester and mass killer of 18 - who spent 22 years on death row and while awaiting execution found Jesus and honestly, and wholeheartedly accepted him as his personal savior - and asked forgiveness for his sins before dying.

2. Citizen Joe - some poor shmuck who, while doing his taxes, blasphemed the Holy Spirit.

and when you do it back to them they get all mad? Like a friend calls you at like 3 or 4am and you don't want to talk but then one night you call them at like 1:30am and they get pissed and say "I'm in the bed."

Eventually (in the far distant future), humanity may collectively leave behind the practices and beliefs of religion, theism, spirituality and absolutism. Nihilism may even take the place of most, maybe even all, skepticism.

Just as we may have evolved from cognitively simple, instinctual primates into beings capable of abstract, philosophical thought, can we also eventually evolve to cope with the idea that existence is ultimately meaningless and thus avoid degeneration into a self-destructive chaos?

I don't really expect any good answers in this section, but who knows? Maybe someone will surprise me. :P

If not, I'll just try again in the Philosophy section. ;) But this IS relevant to the R&S section, so I thought I'd try here first to see what happens.

I have heard that Asutralia is like the 4th or 5th most powerful country on earth.

REASONS: Asutralia has 40% of the worlds uranium supplies.
They have like the 4th best special forced only 4th to SEALS British SAS and israeli special forces.
They have a large Navy with like 65 submarines.
Small but Highly trained army and airforce.

And most importintly they have treaties with U.K and U.S.A superpowers themselfs.

What do you think?

What is her problem? I'm 18 and in college but she still treats me like a child. I love her but she's really bugging me. She gets mad when I come home late from parties and when I'm drunk. And she's telling me my boyfriend is no good for me just cause he got a DUI and is in jail right now. Plus she gets mad when I have my friends over and she stoops through my things like I'm still in high school or something. Then tells me I'm a bad influence on my younger sisters who are 16 and 13. Why doesn't she realize that I'm grown and I can do what I want?

Hi all,
I want to automatically open a telnet session through a batch script. The user name and password should also be automatically supplied by the batch script. After opening the telnet session it should execute a set of commands on the telnet server/device. I have tried using some batch script but it opens a telnet window. This is not my objective. I hope there should be some way by which we can suppress the telnet command/run it in the background.
This is very urgent for me and my expertise in batch programming is novice.
Regards,
Ranjan

I go to a supposedly great college. Granted, I take night courses, but I just don't feel as though I'm benefiting from it in the least. The only thing I know I'll get out of it is a very pricey degree, yet I hoped a little knowledge would go along with it. I haven't learned one thing I didn't already know and didn't care about. Its as though contemporary college (I've been to three universities) is a business wanting to sell you the most prestigious piece of paper, as if education is the farthest thing from their mind. Or perhaps theres some ulterior motive involved, like college is there so people can get pushed into jobs after they graduate in order to pay for it, thus making it a tool of the economy to keep us in line and working for them. Colleges are sheep factories to give graduates some false sense of accomplishment so they might feel better about getting and settling for a career. Originally I believed it might help me define my goals and better educate me in many areas. wtf?

I bought my son Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy for his birthday. It had great reviews and was highly recommended for a 6th grade reading level by the Yahoo Answers community. Now I'm kind of second guessing my decision because of a review I read. It said that the books follow an Anti-Christian theme that concludes with the children killing God. Below is a link to the article. Are these allegations true?
