It's actually quite a good question.
Inappropriate humour in a workplace can have a really bad impact on morale. ESPECIALLY ETHNIC AND RACIAL JOKES LIKE THE GUY WHO ANSWERED JUST BEFORE ME. GUYS GET FIRED FOR TELLING JOKES LIKE THAT--ESPECIALLY NEW HIRES.
Tell a joke that couldn't possibly be offensive.
A short one.
Rich farmer: My place is so big that it takes me all day just to drive across it.
Poor Farmer: I know what you're saying. My car is like that too.

politely ask if it has anything to do with your job.
If you find you do have to say a joke, try to find out something abt the interviewers first so you dont offend them

If the interviewer is black, tell a black joke. If he/she is polish, tell a polish joke. Etc, etc...It shows you have a sense of humor and always helps to break the ice!

Two arabs immigrating to the US on the same plane get into a conversation about who's going to try harder to become an American. They agree to a bet, and meet again at some spot one year later to see who has done a better job. A year passes, they meet at a park with friends.
