I'm sure God found the humor in it but he does not answer every prayer right away. Plus sometimes God wants us to figure problems out on our own so we don't have to rely on him for every little thing. He wants us to be strong independant beings but not so independant that we don't need him for the big things but independant enough so we can let him relax and take a break from the small.

Yes, God has a sense of humor, If He didn't, we wouldn't either. As to your assertion that his prayer was unanswered, that may not be so. Perhaps it was just not answered in the way your friend wished. Sometimes the answer is "yes", sometimes it is "no", sometimes it is "wait", sometimes it is "you do it", and sometimes it is "oh, but I have something so much better for you".

There is no evidence in The Big Sory Book of "god" having a sense of humor. He could get pretty mad though, and do some serious stuff.

He does, but not foolish humor; God is Sovereign, more holy than our finite minds can comprehend. Imagine creating the entire universe with your own two hands.....the Mightiness of that.....God is no fool; He will not acknowledge foolishness.
It is an insult to God to come to Him in such a foolish way. God will answer to humble, repentant hearts, who reverence His Sovereignty.
God is not a joke; and only by His grace are we saved thru faith in Jesus Christ crucified.

How would your nation's leader feel if you asked him to do something in pig latin? Tell your friend that if he's serious, he should show some respect for the highest personage in the universe.

Whatever God has or has not is impossible to know .We would have to be on God's level to know all about him ,which we are not ,so any answers about God are only guesses.

mayb it wasn't answered cuz ur friend wasn't taking it seriously. God is no one to joke around with. haven't u heard of reverence? respect? if ur friend wanted to pray in Pig Latin (?) take it to Jay Leno or SNL, i'm sure they'll answer it...

prayers are not always automaticaly answered...is he a believer of God, has he accepted Christ as his savior if not his prayer will not be answered.....if so then God may have already answered it and he just wasnt listening...God answers prayers with one of three answers yes no or wait so hopefully i could help have a great day!
