Hi. I'm 14 and I love God. I know he's real because he changed me and I know he's working throug me. It's hard to explain but if you give Him a chance, you might just experience him too. God doesn't control us. He gave us a choice to listen and follow him, or to disobey him. And because we have the choice, He helps us. Again, people who hurt innocent people had a choice to love Jesus, and obviously don't. Its up to their choice. God doesn't make them do it. They chose to themselves. When Adam and Eve sinned, they let sin into the world. If they didn't sin, we wouldn't be suffering. People just suffer for a short period of time until they die, where they don't suffer anymore. Look, I have cancer in my neck and yeah sure, its not nice, but I know that either God will heal me, or I'll get to see God much sooner than I thought. God doesn't punish us for anything we did wrong. NEVER! Everyone goes through tough times, even Christians. Look at the soccer player Jakob Blaszczykowski. He watched his father kill his mom, and yet he loves God just the same. I couldn't imagine how hard that would be. AGAIN, we had the choice to love God or reject him. That's why some are atheists and buddists etc. Everything bad comes from the devil. The "bad things in earth" suggest that the he will be returning soon. Based in the Bible, they have to demolish the Dome of the Rock and rebuild Solomon's temple. They are already planning to destroy it. Doesn't it facinate you that Jerusalem is the only Christian city which is surrounded by Muslim cities. And it hasn't been destroyed because God is really protecting it. If you believe in evolution, think about this: 1) If earth's gravity wa stronger, excessive ammonia and methane would be locked into the atmosphere, negatively impacting on life. If gravity were weaker, the atmosphere would lose large amounts of water, makng life impossible. 2) If the Earth was located further from the sun, our planet would grow cold, the atmospheric water cycle would be affected and the Earth would enter an ice-age. If the Earth was positioned closer to the sun, the tmospheric water cycle would be damaged, the plants would burn and the life would be destroyed. 3) If the rotation of the Earth ws slower, it would result in extreme temperature differences between day and night. If the rotations were faster, atmospheric winds would reach enormous speeds creating damaging cyclones nd storms. 4) If the sun were smaller in size, the Earth would freeze. A larger sun would lead to its burning up. 5) The Earth has a 23 degree angle of incilation to its orbit which creates the seasons. However, if the angle of the Earth was greater or less than it is currently, the difference in temperature between the seasons would create unbearably hot summers and bitterly cold winters. So, if evolution really did happen, how could it be so precise in the making of the universe, One mistake, and we would all die. How does each cll in our body do a job so we don't die. Ofcourse, a big bang made everything happen precisely. Sorry for the off topic thing, but true facts there.

R&S section... and not one single convincing reason... hmm...
Dont'cha think NEEDING a god or religion just kinda makes you a subservient bottom? I mean, come on.. the best you can give here as proof is the BIBLE and FAITH?? What is that? It sounds as though you NEED to be TOLD what to do, what to think, what to say, etc. Dont you people have a mind of your own? Didnt you GET the ability to reason like the rest of us?? Is it more comfortable for you if you have some great man in the sky tell you you MUST or youll suffer the fires of hell for eternity if you DONT? Is THAT how the majority of you keep from being murderers and pedophiles and rapists? Because you have a deity that says no no no....?? I feel so sorry for you people sometimes.

Because the Jews say so, they ARE the chosen people. Right? God said so. Ironic isn't it. The Jews say there is a God and God says the Jews are the chosen ones. Sounds like a Jewish conspiracy Guess that means the rest of us go to hell when we die.

May I be the first to answer with a "born again" mentality by evading the question, turning the question around 180 degrees and trying to force the pressure on the asker by saying, "can you think of any proof that God is NOT real?

Do you want St. Anselm's ontological argument? :) I could go with the argument that nature proves God's existence, but someone could run that one over, I could trot out a million pieces of historical and logical apologetics, but there is a counter argument for each. Personally, the most convincing thing that shows me that God is really really real is the hate and anger that athiests put into trying to disprove His existence. If He's not real, why do they care? And who is it that they hate? I'm fairly certain that a number (not all!) of atheists are that way because they're super mad.... at God. Their response? "Well, I don't believe in you so you can't hurt me." And yet, they are still angry. That seals it for me. My faith started it though.

For me, the fact that there is a concept of infinity almost begs for the existence of a deity, although I don't think that such a deity is necessarily concerned only with US. All the things that simply ARE - limitless space, time beyond our ability to understand it, the concept of senses beyond our own, and even UNIVERSES beyond our own - speak to me of something far greater than myself, and I choose to call that being "God." I'm not even sure that I can express it, but that's my best effort; hope it gives you an idea of where I'm coming from.

Dear Friend,
He changed my heart. He changed my sinful life into a righteous life for His honor and glory.
You've got to be kidding me. Hahahaha.... I lived a life of complete and wonderful sin.. until it consumed me. Too much of life was NOT enough.
But when I asked Jesus to take control of my life and to live for Him and not myself. WHOA!! Hallelujah... hahahaha. I have a personal relationship with the King of kings and Lord of lords. I KNOW who my Savior is.. and where I'm going ...when I die.
I had smoked for over 30 years. I loved to smoke. Loved my brand and smoked 3 packs a day or more. Then one day in church... our pastor gave a message about ..."who is your god?" Said.. whatever you think of first thing in the morning is your god and that when you die.. you'd never see the face of Jesus because God will have no other gods before Him. I went home...got on my knees, cried like a baby and said, "OH JESUS! I've come such a long way with you. I WANT to SEE you when I die. PLEASE! Help me to stop smoking. I want YOU to be MY ONLY GOD!"
Well, I drove my kids nuts trying to quit smoking. I'd buy sugarless candy, gum, lolipops.. anything to stick in my mouth except a cigarette. I struggled every day. I even changed from my FAVORITE name brand cigarettes to those AWFUL... generics. I wanted God to see that I was making a good faith effort, and I continued to pray on my knees every night.
One year later... it was a Wednesday night after church in July....I had just doused out my last cigarette in my ash tray and I HEARD GOD'S VOICE, "IT IS FINISHED!" I FROZE!! I HEARD HIS VOICE INSIDE ME... JUST AS CLEAR AS DAY. I wasn't sure what to say and then the words came out of my mouth, "But Lord, that's what you said on the cross." Then I heard His voice again and He said, "IT IS COMPLETE!" I started to laugh. I KNEW it was God. I then continued to speak back to Him and said, "Oh Lord. You know what's going to happen.. I'm gonna wake up in the morning wanting a cigarette with my coffee." Well, I gave Him every reason in the world what would happen if I quit. I got myself ready for bed, still having a one sided conversation with the Lord. I climbed into bed and began to cry. I told the Lord I was sorry, and rememberd the story about Gideon in the book of Judges.
Anyway... to make this AWESOME story short....I fell asleep with a horrible headache. Come morning as I becoming conscious... I could feel the pounding in my head finally ceasing. As I lay in bed, I was completely aware that I WAS NOT BREATHING!! God was breathing for me. He was cleaning my lungs!! I just lay there with tears streaming down my face. GOD HAD ANSWERED MY PRAYER. It had manifested. Come to fruition. When I began breathing on my own again... I jumped out of bed. I got my coffee and went to my office chair. NOTHING! No desire to smoke. I grabbed my youngest son coming down the hallway on his way to school and said frantically, "SON! SON! You'll never guess!! NEVER! Jesus came and visited me last night. He took my smoking away. This is INCREDIBLE!" My son grabbed my shoulders (he's taller than I) and said, "Mom. You know I love you. right? And I know that as Christians we are to believe in what we cannot see. But this time Mom... I'll believe it when I see it." All I could do was laugh and laugh and tell him.. OKAY! You'll see.
That.. was 10 years ago. Hahahaha. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD! NOTHING!
TO GOD BE THE GLORY! PERIOD!
My Savior is Jesus Christ and one day... I'm gonna wrap my loving arms around the BEST FRIEND anyone could ever have.
But God is a "personal" God... So, what may not seem possible for you... (laughing) most certainly CAN be possible for someone else. God will meet you where YOU live. Hahahahaha God is in the heart "changing" business. All a person has to do.. is "sincerely" ...want Him. He'll be happy to reveal Himself to you. :)
Forever in Christ Jesus,
lostnavd...
Ps. It's not a matter of me "thinking" God is real. I KNOW GOD IS REAL! Thank you Jesus!
