Recently there have been protests by British Muslim medical students that they should not have to learn about alcohol and STDs. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/health/article2603966.ece

Of course their view on Islam is distorted, but what other areas of science and medicine may be considered unIslamic?

I live in Maryland and was invited to Florida in a couple of months, on a hunting trip...and wondered, if I would be able to purchase a handgun while I am there.

I am using a pastry recipe that calls for shredded beef suet. My butcher gave me raw, uncooked beef suet. Prior to using it, do I need to melt(boil) and refridgerate the beef suet?

Something went wrong last weekend and I just can't figure out what, he says nothing happend and that he is just precoccupied and busy as he has almost deminshed any contact with me. He has stopped sending me txt like he used to or calling. He even vanished for two days without any news. When I enquired he said he was out with friends. I am really scared about my relationship's future, am I just thinking too much or is he legitimately bored with me, please advise. :'(

as i am in sured for the windscreen with a 60 excess they booked me in with autoglass. who then replaced the windscreen. a week later we had seriosuly heavy rain and when i went into the car i noticed a puddle of water on the passenger side just on the foot part carpet i phoned nissan the maufactuer of the car and they said does the water look a funny colour i said no and they asked if it smelt and i replied no it was just rain water they advised me to go back to autoglass to test as i explained the problem wasnt there b4 the new windscreen change. auto glass did test the vehicle couldnt find the fault they said the windscreen was sealed properly they put another brand new one and it rained a few times after that and no water came through and recently its happened again where water is coming through. auto glass advised it was the seam of the passenger side not having any sealant on it. but this problem happened after the new windscreen could any one tell me wot could be the problem.

If it was a premeditated, planned abduction wouldn't the abductor/s use a car instead of carrying the child on his arms like Jane tanner says? after all you want to get away as soon as possible.

I've been hearing that the NFL is thinking about having the Superbowl in London, why would they do this? I understand they want to get more fans and spread football and the NFL to Europe and worlwide but this almost seems unamerican and unfootball. There are no NFL football teams in London and probably not all that many fans. Personally I think it's going to alienate a lot of American fans. Were the ones who spend the money on jerseys and video games and buy the NFL packages. Were the ones who follow football all year long, andd they are going to have the biggest game of the year in another country?

he was in a motorcycle accident. he was only 27yrs old. he is actually my ex boyfriend and like one of the family. he was very very close to my 3 boys, ages 6,5,and 3. we stayed like best friends even after our sexual relationship was over. now he is dead and I can't stop thinking about him. and I am so mad at him b/c he wasn't wearing his helmet and was drinking.
my question is, how can I stop thinking about him? how can I get over being mad at him? and should I tell my children? how do I tell them something like that! ugh!! I am sooo sad!

Being British is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, whilst travelling home, grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV.

Only in Britain can a pizza get to your house faster than an ambulance.

Only in Britain do supermarkets make sick people walk all the way to the back of the shop to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.

Only in Britain do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries and a DIET coke.

Only in Britain do banks leave both doors open and chain the pens to the counters.

Only in Britain do we leave cars worth thousands of pounds on the drive and lock our junk and cheap lawn mower in the garage.

Only in Britain do we use answering machines to screen calls and then have call waiting so we won't miss a call from someone we didn't want to talk to in the first place.
