Lifestyle changes may help control high blood pressure:

Lose weight if you are overweight. Excess weight adds to strain on the heart. In some cases, weight loss may be the only treatment needed. Exercise to help your heart. Adjust your diet as needed. Decrease fat and sodium -- salt, MSG, and baking soda all contain sodium. Increase fruits, vegetables, and fiber.

Take Care and God Bless !

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

There are a few things you could do for your high BP. The one that will work fastest, and unfailingly is cayenne pepper. I have had miracles with it. It will naturally adjust the blood, and BP, whether it be too thick, too thin, too high, or too low. It will build your heart, and prevent stroke, and more. You would need a high IHU (international heat unit), at least 45k, but higher if you can get it. You can take it in capsules but I don't recommend it unless you absolutely can't take it any other way as this is a surprise attack to your stomach. Best if your salivary glands can send a heads up. Star with about 1/4 tsp in a cup of clear liquid (I like to put it in water with a little lime and sometimes a bit of stevia), and work up to 1 tsp. 3X a day.

If you find a remedy, to get off the pills, I would like to know. I have had high blood pressure for about 20years now , and nothing has worked. Not dieting, not the drugs, and not bio-feed back. I think we a pre-disposed to it and there is little or nothing that can be done, short of taking all your meds. Good luck.

I did the following for high blood pressure and it worked for me:

1. start exercising.
Your body needs exercise as much as food.

2. a daily tea of Hawthorn Berry and Dandelion leaf (not root).
The Hawthorn Berry can help regulate pressure, and Dandelion leaf is a natural diuretic; unlike the drugs that are available, Dandelion leaf contains electrolytes that are typically eliminated with the use of diuretic drugs.

3 try to eat in a more healthy fashion.
Many common illnesses are the result of very poor diets, rich in sugars and salts. Our bodies were designed to eat what can be found in nature, and much of what we eat today is simply not natural. A very good herbalist friend has the philosophy "If I can't cook it in my kitchen, I don't buy it".

Look at the list of ingredients. If you can't buy the ingredient at a grocer, but only in a chemical supply house, why is it in your food?

There are many such remedies that you can find in a web search for "high blood pressure" + "natural remedies".

High blood pressure is nothing more than inflammation responses from enzymes that fail to replenish new tissues and the imbalance is building up scarring tissues in the main arteries, which are located through the kidney pathways. The smaller the path for the blood to flow the higher the blood pressure to compensate for this loss of space.

What causes this? Enzymes are resonsible for sending signals for new tissues and to replace old and scarring tissues as we age and in our organs and cardiovascular walls, we must have constant blood flow throughout the body.

When you have C reactive protein levels too high (CRP is a medical measurement to determine low or high risk for heart disease), you may have an impending heart problem like high blood pressure as one of the symptoms... Despite what our commercials tell us about "Ask your doctor about cholesterol lowering meds" its not the cholesterol, because cholesterol is your anti inflammatory hormone and is a reaction to inflammation.

Since our foods are deficient and you depend upon specific food molecules from your diet to get your cells back on track and to stop inflammatory responses... You need to start taking systemic enzymes.

Sytemic enzymes are different than digestive enzymes. They help the cells send signals to replace scarring and old tissues and open up cardiovascular blood pathways for better blood flow by replacing new and youthful tissues.

A great product is Vital Zyme X from World Nutrition. You can google it and get plenty of info where to get it and request the audio CD to listen to it while driving around doing errands or to and from work. It explains what high blood pressure is.

Medications mask the symptoms while the underlying problems continue to get worse, so Vital Zyme X does not interfere with your medications as it is safe and non toxic... It is what was meant to be in our peaches, apples, brocolli, etc... long ago, before our foods were deficient before modern farming practices.

I would also look to a pharmaceutical grade antioxidant, that is also a food, not synthetic as some antioxidant formulas cancel each other out and are pro oxidative, meaning they are as harmful as smoking a pack of cigarettes... So, you can find that out by studying their ORAC capacity. Which stands for Oxidative Radical Absorption Capacity.

Why?

Because anti oxidants keep your cells from prematurely aging or rusting. Thus, you are adding cell defense and repair. If you eat up to 13 organic fruits and veggies a day, assume you are getting about 30 percent of the nutrients you used to get in the 1950's. So, you have to supplement to fill that missing link in nutrition.

i'm sure your doc went thru most of these but lowering salt intake, exercise, loosing weight, relaxation or meditation, and not eating as many dark green leafy veggies. add more water to your diet instead of coffee and sodas because of caffeine and phosphates. try looking at www.homeremedies.com or www.naturalremedies.com. you could also do a general search for naturalpathic rememdies or naturalpathic practitioners in your area
