I went to the after hours clinic today and the doctor told me that I have an umbilical hernia. I have a really bad pain in my belly button and its getting worse. I told him that I have an appt with my primary physician on Monday and he said if I want to wait I can, but he would advise me to go to the ER today because progressively worse pain could mean a strangulated hernia.

Would it be ok to wait until Monday? Have you ever had experience with this? I just don't know if he *has* to advise people to go to the ER. At first he just referred me to a surgeon but when I told him that today it hurts worse than yesterday he said I should probably go to the ER.

My friend just married a childhood sweetheart after knowing him for years, but marriage and friendship is totally different and she realises she has made a major mistake. marriage took place a month ago - how easy will it be to get a divorce? Do the same principles apply as a british wedding being dissolved?

We have been married for 3 years and friends for over 7. We just don't seem to enjoy being together anymore. And want to try and get help before we are no longer able to even have a friendship. We thought some counseling would be the way to exhaust all options befor just divorcing but don't know what to expect. any advice would be helpful

We have a house which we rented to a family a month back. Then my husband had to go out of country due to some family emergency. There was some touchups on the wall to be done. The tenants had put almost half of their stuff n the house. I spoke ti them n asked if I could get the wall paint n hand it over to them. They said yes. But due to hectic life, I couldn't go n hand over the paint. When my husband came back after 2 weeks, this tenant said they didn't start living in cos we had to do some touchups!. n she was staying somewhere else. But their stuff was right there in the house. She now says that since she was waiting for the touchup to be done, n didn't start living , she won't be paying themonths rent. Are we being cheated?

Are human's today basically genetically the same as human's 1,000 years ago? 5,000 years ago? 10,000 years ago? 20,000 years ago?

People tend to believe the people today are superior in strength and intelligence but is this not only true because we have built opon the achievements of those before us? Is it not true that humans 1,000's of years ago were the same with the same capacity for intelligence. Human's have not evolved in hundreds of thousands of years. Is this not true? The only evolution has been in our technology and knowledge that has accumulated over time by learning from our predecessors, right? No technological knowledge is inate, just learned from those wh invented things and those who made them better. If humans today were put in a world with no technology would it not take them a similar rate to get back to the point that we are at now?
