I agree with Dawn.
Those who think it's made up have not lived long enough outside to know the difference. The differences are pretty blatant up here in Canada. The entire forest of Pine (which takes up a great deal of space here) is GONE because of global warning. It is the most wide-spread sign that this IS HAPPENING.!!!! It is the greatest natural disaster to happen in the world.

All the other countries of the world knew this EXCEPT America. Gore was told by the other countries to wake you guys up.

Global warming is not a religion. Religion is nonsense. Global warming is death. You who won't take warning before it is too late has doomed your grandchildren and many of your children. Well you were hoping for Apocalypse you will surely get it now.

Religion -- attempts to answer unanswerable questions.
Global Warming -- Evidence-based assertion.
Totally non-sequitur. There is no religion of Global Warming. Global warming is a fact, and if you don't believe it, you're welcome to compare maps of the Northern Arctic Ocean with those of ten years ago, when it was unnavigable, and now, of course, all the nations are vying for the resources and sea routes opened by global warming.

Rev. Gore has made great inroads into society both here in the west as well as Europe and many parts of the globe.
But unless he can rise from the dead, all the followers of the Tree Hugger faith will be left barking up the wrong tree.

Why do so many silly people call things that aren't religions religions?

Seriously.

Then the same people will say their religion isn't a religion, but a lifestyle, or a "relationship with god" and expect it to be accorded protection under freedom of religion while simultaneously trying to limit what they call the lifestyles of others.

Silly people.

that would be an improvement, but no, I don't think so.

apathy is always the easier route; that dooms the global warming cause, whether or not it is somehow a "religion," and even if the cause is right.

Global warming has no element of faith, no priesthood, and no ritual. It's not a religion, it's a fact. Even the Bush government acknowledges that it is taking place.

Of course not! Why do you think I run my car without any kind of exhaust??? I've stripped it down so it's as loud and dirty as heck! The funniest thing is when I pull up at a stop light and pedestrians start coughing from my exhaust...

Well it certainly has more basis in fact plus it can be used to predict things and then see them happen.

Since it is fact based, I can't support the analogy of it to religion.
