Hi, I am a senior in high school and I want to see what the chances are of me getting into Notre Dame. My aunt +uncle are alumni
Gpa: 3.7
Act: 30
Sat: 630 CR, 640 Math, 630 Writing, w/ a perfect essay
Cirriculum: I have taken the most rigorious classes possible. I also have taken/ taking several AP classes. This includes: AP psychology, ap composition and rhetoric, and AP great books. I have also taken classes for college credit. This includes: Business Law and College Physics. I also currently am taking Humanities I and II at the University of Northern Iowa.
Extracirriculars: Eagle Scout, captain of varsity baseball team, work at John Deere Supervisor's Club (Assistant Manager), selected to Senior Leadership, DECA, volenteering at Habitat for Humanity, playing piano, and Confirmation.
Essay: I have lived in France and Mexico for a total of 8 years between the two, so I plan on writing my essay on how diverse and different it was living overseas. I speak 3 languages.

We were talking about this in history class recently. At what point in American history did African-Americans begin to give their children names with uniquely African-American flavour (think "Jamelia" or "Shontavius"), rather than traditionally Anglo-European names like "Mary" or "Charles?"

I work for a company in California that has 2 warehouses a mile apart from each other. They pay 150 employees in one of them an average rate of $12.00/hour and 150 employees in the other warehouse an average rate of $17.00/hour to perform the same job. It is not based on sex, but is this still wage discrimination? Any laws that cover this?

my wife immediately cut her off & said she was wrong, but the pain of the comment still remains. how do i handle this? Am I being too sensitive? I had self esteem issues when I was younger and that comment really struck me to the core. Any advice-thanks in advance?

Its so typical, I wont believe something that goes beyond my puny little mind. I wont believe something I cant see, well you cant see the billions of billions of galaxy, does that mean they dont exist? Fact is even if God hit you over the head you'd still find a way or reason to reject it.

Lets see, most of you atagonists use science to try to prove your weak hyposthesis, actually quite pathetic considering the greatest scientists that ever lived believe in a higher entity, Einstein and Hawking. I did not say religion for you that try to be slick, I said they believe in a higher entity. So my question is, how do you conclude, based on your interpretation of reality, that we somehow came from nothing? Isnt that impossible, I mean you try to use science against us, yet the very basis of your thinking contradicts your hypothesis'. Something cant come from nothing, Einstein realized that, so are you saying you're smarter than him?

We are staying at my parents and when he came home from class my parents smelled it on him. So while he was outside working on his car my mom went in my room looking for clothes so she could help me with laundry, and she was checking his coat pockets and found a pipe and a vile of weed in his pocket. Not only that but there were recent ashes in the pipe. Well when I came home my parents told me about it..and at first I didnt believe it. So when I layed down on my bed next to the coat I smelled it, and i went thru the pockets and found nothin..So I confronted him and he said yea he enjoys it once in a while, its no big deal. But it is to me because im pregnant 4 mos with his child and I dont feel safe nor do i trust him if hes doin that.He told me he would stop but I still dont trust him. He broke the pipe right in front of me and threw the weed away in the outside trash..but everytime I talk to him about why it bothers me he just laughs.

I have a job interview next week. I want to find out more about the job first because the last few interviews I have been on have been a TOTAL waste of time and gas.I really should have asked more questions.I want to know what the physical demands of the job are, standing, sitting at a desk, etc., and what amount of time is spent working indoors and outdoors. There is also a minimum level of pay I will accept.But, I do not want to sound difficult. At the same time, I do not want to waste my time or someone else's. Is there a way of phrasing the question, such as, "can you tell me a little more about the job? Will I be at a desk or standing or walking?What percentage of the work day is spent indoors and outdoors?" I looked on the companys website and there is no job description. I looked on job board websites, put in the job title and got different descriptions for the same job from each company.
