CDs......I like having tangible proof of the media. With the digital stuff, yeah the instant gratification is there, but you can't thumb through the booklet and read the lyrics or look at the art.......that's one of the greatest things about buying a cd. You get it home and take the time to look at the booklet while listening, I guess its becoming an obsolete experience.

Some people love records but they don't play very well inside a car. CDs all the way. MP3s a distant second place. Still, iPods and the rest of the players are a great thing.

I would have to go with CD. Vinyl does sound great but, as sookie noted, it's just not very practical.

If you're going to go for the ultimate in CDs, the MFSL releases are amazing. Second to that is picking up the Japanese import of the disc, preferably an early pressing of the disc. I actually prefer early Japanese pressings of CDs over most remasters. The difference between the Japanese pressings and an American pressing is dramatic.

CD's, with around 3000 of them I can rip my own mp3's at my own bit/rates and can fill an iPod ten times over.

And I still love vinyl LP's ....and in my opinion still practical, specially with a USB turntable hooked into my PC.

LPs I could look at album covers forever, I have a turn table but it's so old that I can't find a stylus. I'm going to get the record to cd converter this xmas.

I buy CD's...then rip them onto my computer. I like to have tangible things like Sookie said, but I just hate it when you scratch a CD and it skips. So my favorite media would have to be mp3.

My absolute favorite would be CD's. I like the warm tones that you get from vinyl, but it was never very practical.

Digital stuff is OK, but like a lot of people I want a tangible copy when I purchase something.

Additional info: Thought so! The picture is also on the back of the soundtrack for the movie "Into the Wild"
