Personally, the Devil, Satan, Lucifer, or whatever you wish to call him, is the biggest moron, ever created by the church. Here's a being, who was in Heaven when the universe, and all the worlds were created, had first hand knowlage of what God was doing, and what he planned. Had and has access to the same written word all christians do.
And yet, he plays by God's rules. Some GREAT deciever he is!! He has foreknowlage, that no matter what he does, in the end, God wins. That's one major idiot!! If I were Satan, hey, rule number one, toss out the rulebook. You sent me here to live in the bowels of the earth, and decieve, buddy you got it!!
Only in the hearts and minds of christians, will Satan live forever.

He gets cast into the lake of fire and burns for a thousand years. As to the living forever thing, nobody knows. It's not in the Bible, though some mythology may include it.

God threw old saint Satan our of heaven, because he went on a power trip. So basically he is his own god in his own world the ring of fire. Satan does live on for all eternity as a hurtful falling angel always in hate and blinded by resentment because of his mistake. And as this world ends and is rebuild as Satan is locked up for ten thousand years rein, and then released and attacks the new earth....I hope I am the one who leads the charge of saints and angels to defend the earth and people, as we slice Satan and his army in two with the swords filled with God's Glory:)

Logically I think he will not live forever ,
As Satan is the integral part of "God's Human Plan",
So Satan is formed by God's will , so that God may check Humans that "We go God's way or the Satan's way .
