This was the second time this year that Chertoff used his authority to waive laws requiring an adequate environmental impact study prior to construction, claiming that further delays threatened national security.

I thought the main threat was from Islamic extremists, not Mexican immigrants. But maybe I missed something? The principle of waiving U.S. law for largely partisan political reasons is rampant with this lame-duck administration.

So, my husband and I have 3 little kids and I am 24 and going back to school, and my husband works construction but is most likely going to be laid off because of how the housing market is going(although it is a great buyers market) so he will get unemployment and then I will get a part time job fo awhile until he can find something that pays what he is making right now, so here is my question, I was thinking 3 presents for each of the kids and they are 5 and 3 yr. old twins, and then 1 present for my nephew. Here is what I think might be the cheap part I was thinking of giving my sister and her huband, and my brother and his girlfriend 20 dollar gift cards to the Olive Garden and then maybe some candy to put in the gift bag with it, and then a 40 dollar gift card to a restaurant for my mom and dad, and a 15 dollar gift card to subway for my granparents. Tell me what you think about that, I just don't want to go overboard and then broke. Any other ideas for inexpensive gifts??

I am a cosigner on student loan, and the borrower is not paying, and I have no contact with him. What can I do to try to get the borrower to pay? Someone mentioned suing by filing a small claims. What are the risks with that? I've been making payments, but is there no way to get the actual borrower to take responsiblity?

the reason i ask is because the last time i saw my Dr he said my son was small for me being almost 6 month and mind you i,m a small women 4'7 and his dad is 6'4 but i,m tiny so you would think my son is not going to be a big baby i mean normal weight when born but i,m tiny so anyway,he also said it had one artery and vein in the umbilical cord so i said Ok and then he said later i would be put on bed-rest but i don't understand why he would not say when i asked. and he also has done a chromisone abnormalites test and has had it in his office for 2 days and i have try-ed to call him and ask what the results are but he has failed to call me back and i was told to stop calling so i,m not going to call anymore i try-ed to change and no one will except me because he is the only high risk Dr in my area .so my question is what exactaly is a chrmoisone test done for and also why where you put on bed rest thanks for responding and sorry for ranting and by the way i,m know 6 months and 4 days

A Bible study teacher often mentioned her grown son. Her worse fear seemed to be that he was gay. She made all sorts of reasons for his behavior. She was in deep denial. I met him and I thought he was possibly gay and that his mother was going to have to face the worse nightmare of her life.
I have something(a sin by others) in my life that I have hated since I was young. It has come up time after time. I have had to deal with it over and over and over.
Why is it that the worse fears in our lives seem to happen? (For the Bible study leader it was a gay son).
It seems more than a coincidence to me. I have been crushed one to many times. Is this a test from God? Is it from satan?

Any advise would help.
They take over my work and when I told them not too, they felt offensive. I went and complained and I heard from my other co-workers so did they. Now the three of us have stopped talking to each other and the work enviroment it very depressing. Please help. Working on what I was suppose to be working on would make it look like to the managers that (the two of them) are better and are not only handling their work but mine as well.

i was talking to the girl i like oday and she looked down most of the time and every so often shed look up and traight into my eyes. I am going to my doctor this afternoon at one. I been having ear infections alot and I have one now. It been going on with ly left ear the most. It probably four or fifth time having an ear infection in that ear this year. I was born with cleft palate and been fixed year ago. I had out grown these ear infections when I was a teenager. But I am 26 year old and getting them again. Want can I do to talk to my doctor again. I hate getting them. I ready to put tubes in ears again to stop getting them and I don't why I am getting them again for so many year not having them.

Hi everyone. My girlfriend has this guy friend whom she knows from her grad schools and they have been friends for over two years now. I've been with my g/f for over 07 months now and things are okay between us. However, I find it really annoying whenever my g/f hangs out or talk about this guy. Lately, when I was away for two days, I called her to say hi and found out that she was home alone with that guy all day long to work on their school project or something.
