And, what was the original Hebrew word that swear came from?

I read the 10 commandments, and nothing says not to swear, but yet people always say that its a commandment.

1. No other Gods before God
2. No carved images or idols
3. Dont take the lords name in vain
4. Remember the Sabbath
5. Honor your father and mother
6. Dont murder
7. Dont commit adultery
8. Dont steal
9. Dont bear false witness
10. Dont covet your neighbors

The only one I can see is the not taking the lords name in vain. But thats not all the "swear" words that people in America say.

Ive also seen other countries, like England, and words that we consider bad are normal their, and words they consider bad is normal here. Same with here and Japan and Korea. There telling someone to Shut Up is like saying the F word here.

So my point is, if its not a commandment, why is it bad to say? And if our words are bad, should we study all cultures and ban their swear words too?

Obviously the animals are hurt in some way in the fact that they die for the product. But what I'm wondering is, is there a certain brand that doesn't severely hurt the animals in the process of growing them to be food?

I'm seriously considering going vegetarian just after watching a youtube video of people harming the animals, but if there's a brand of meat that offers the animal a good life before they're killed(and killed quickly), I'd love to know.

I want to become a pharmacist after I graduate.
You get to help people and I love learning about medicine and disease, plus the salary is great.
Im currently a high school junior.
I did great in biology class last year.
But this year I got stuck with a horrible chemistry teacher.
She doesnt know what shes doing.
she never gets to the point, she talks to fast, she gets angry at you if you dont get something, and she is just too OUGH!
Last year and the year before that alot of students that were in her class failed.
She takes away my hopes of being a pharmacist.
But anywho back to my point.
What do I need to do to become a pharmacist?

One of the most important things I’ve learned is that I don’t need to worry so much. When you are younger, you worry about what you look like, what you are wearing, etc. Of course I still care about those things, but I don’t stress over them. What’s really important is being happy. At all stages in your life: if you’re happy, you’re beautiful.

I’ve also learned the importance of giving back. It’s great to realize that life is not always about achieving the next level for yourself and that it’s just as important to be generous with your personal spirit and knowledge. With technology, the world really is flat. It has enabled people to connect and to reach across the world as easily as they can across the street. We should all find a way to take advantage of that.

I was shown this doc. by a good friend who was a scientist (he has now passed). it was about the alignment of the planets with the sun and the effect it would have on our planet. It stated that the world would start to have more and deadlier natural disasters from May 2001, if you follow world events this is now happening.

Article II of the Constitution does not preclude him from the Presidency or Vice Presidency based on him having served two elected terms. Nobody disputes this, but people get confused with Amendments XII and XXII.

Amendment XII says "no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice President of the United States."

Amendment XXII says "no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice..."

People believe that he is ineligible for the Vice Presidency because he is ineligible for the Presidency. This is false. He is only ineligible to be elected to the Presidency. Nothing precludes him from succeeding to the nation's highest office. Considering all of this, he is eligible to be elected Vice President and eligible to succeed, but not be elected to, the Presidency.
What are your thoughts on this?

I was just watching Dexter (no, not Dexter's Laboratory...just Dexter) and I cried when Dexter slit his brother's throat (I guess it would be more dramatic if you watched the whole series. everything leading up to it just made it so depressing... so what was your last movie or show?

My cool friend is saying all this stuff to me and its drivin me nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (kinda have a crush on him) You'll hardly ever see us apart and we are always talking to each other. And there are times were he'll be like i know you like me another moment were he will jokingly ask do u like me? Then he'll be like i like you (jokingly). And then he's like i have to talk to you. (dont know if that was a joke) what does all this mean? He'll always look at me and stick his tounge out (his way of being funny) and he just confuses me. We also like to listen to music together.

A small tourist hotel was all abuzz about an afternoon wedding where the groom was 95 and the bride was 23. The groom looked pretty feeble and the feeling was that the wedding night might kill him, because his bride was a healthy, vivacious young woman.

But lo and behold, the next morning, the bride came down the main staircase slowly, step by step, hanging onto the banister for dear life. She finally managed to get to the counter of the little shop in the hotel. The clerk looked really concerned, "Whatever happened to you, honey? You look like you've been wrestling an alligator!"

The bride groaned, hung on to the counter and managed to speak, "Oh God! He told me he'd been saving up for 75 years and I thought he meant his money!"

#1 accept the love of God and go to heaven

#2 refuse the love of God and burn in hell forever

How is that freedom of choice when it is the same thing as a gun to your head?
