Merritt is actually quite interesting. I don't know about the "May" part. I've never been fond of any of the -ay/-ae names but that's just personal preference. Merritt May does sound like it should be a brand of something (maybe because it reminds me of Parrot Bay).

I'm usually a "classic" name kind of girl, but I'm liking the name Merritt. It's a nice change.

I like Merritt, but I'm not too sure about May. Merritt sounds modern and sophisticated, where May kind of sounds like a country bumpkin. It does sound nice when you say it, though.

Are you set on the MM initials? You could use
Merritt Monique
Merritt Marie
Merritt Michelle
Merritt Makenzie

If you want a one syllable middle name, you could think about:
Merritt Ann
Merritt Lee
Merritt Hope
Merritt Grace
Merritt Faith
Merritt Jade
Merritt Quinn
Merritt Cate
Merritt Lynn
Merritt Brynn

And here's some other middle names that just sound nice:

Merritt Angela
Merritt Helaine
Merritt Lorraine
Merritt Olivia
Merritt Harper
Merritt Estelle
Merritt Briana
Merritt Regina
Merritt Noelle
Merritt Victoria
Merritt Ophelia
Merritt Juliana

Hope these help!

I love the name Merritt for a little girl!!!

I have never been a fan of the name May or Mae....nothing really wrong with it...just my preference.

Merritt is a wonderful name and would grow very nicely with her. (not too cutesy when she is 30)

Nice job!!! = )

I love Merritt... but not with May...

First of all, I HATE alliterative names, so that's really my problem with May... and number two, I prefer the spelling Mae....

What about Merritt Rae....?

I think names that start with the same begining sound like a dogs name, or nickname? Merritt Nicole, or Elizabeth...

Congratulations!
