My Girlfriends father has recently been looking into his fathers past with out much success. I was wondering if some one knew of a website or an information beareau that could help?

Basically, from what I can gather, the story goes like this...

My girlfriends father's father (to make this easier he will be called Antonio) was captured by the American's in Sicily circa 1942-1944. Captured he was then transfered to America as a prisoner of war (POW). This is where it gets quite scetchy. We know he was transported to the California area (San francisco we believe) where he lived for 4 years.

We are trying to trace Antonio's history from Sicily to the states. The name of the camp, his port of entry into the US, and where he stayed. Anything else would be bonus. Can anyone help at all? Are there any websites set up for these things or are there any organisations that i could help.

all in one shopping day, but didn't notice it until you go to eat them? I've been shopping at the local grocery store in my hometown for a while now, but this last time I got groceries, there have been several items that I purchased and when I went to use them, I noticed that they've been expired for months! Although I do look at the expiration dates on some items like dairy products and bread, I don't look at the date on every item. Who has time for that anyway? I had some juice that expired in August of 2007, I had some frozen items that expired in July and were completely freezer burnt when I opened it. Do I call them and let them know this or what? I know they won't give me my money back, but at least they will be aware of it and hopefully look more closely at what they sell. Anyway, needless to say, I will not shop there again. I will drive to a further store from now on.

With Britian getting ready to halve the 5,000 soldiers they have in Iraq, Debra Cagan, deputy assistant secretary of defense for coalition affairs was sent to the capitals of our Iraq "coalition allies": Moldova, Macedona, Albania, Czech Republic, and Kazakhstan to beg their leaders to send more troops to Iraq.

Currently:
-Moldovia has 11 troops in Iraq
-Macedonia has 40 troops in Iraq
-Kazakhstan has 27 military engineers in Iraq
-Czech Republic has 100 troops in Iraq
-Albania has 120 troops in Iraq

The US makes up 94% of 'coalition' forces.

Arguably, all these countries have economic issues which preclude the deployment of any more troops or aid.

Im a 24 year old male, in a relationship. We are getting married in a few weeks. I work 9 hours a day, commute 1 hour each way morning and night, and lately with the stress of the wedding stuff, and normal day to day events, have had no desire to have sex whatsoever.

This is very abnormal for me, as im usually a pretty horny guy, and i never would have imagined i would be the one to turn it down so often. Lately my fiancee has been very upset because she tries to initiate and i just feel like i would rather lay there and do nothing, im not feeling it right now.

In the past if the girl doesnt want to, we guys have to accept that and respect it. How come the same isnt being done to me? Even though i tell her its that im tired she thinks i think she is ugly or no longer interested, its not true. And she even hints that me not wanting to is making her feel bad about herself and i should do it because i love her.

I do love her but i dont want to until i feel right about it.. help?

A guy walks into a pub and sees a sign hanging over the bar which reads:
Cheese Sandwich: - $1.50.
Chicken Sandwich: - $2.50.
Hand Job: - $10.00.
Checking his wallet for the necessary payment, he walks up to the bar and beckons one of the three exceptionally attractive blondes serving drinks to an eager-looking group of men.
"Yes?" she inquires with a knowing smile, "can I help you?"
"I was wondering", whispers the man, "are you the one who gives the hand-jobs?"
"Yes", she purrs, "indeed I am"
The man replies "Well wash your hands, I want a cheese sandwich!"

I live Florida. I moved into this home last April and we put a lock on the thermostat in May or June and since then the bill has gone up at least a $100 each month. Is this box preventing the thermostat to run properly and contributing to the high bills?

I have heard very few voices in strong opposition to pagan religions at large. Mathematically, I realize that pagans are a small minority within the community, so they naturally produce far fewer questions and answers than do the major religions.

Does this fully explain why I do not witness heated debates concerning paganism? Is this perceivedly moderate level of tolerance of paganism due simply to its low visibility within the public sphere, enabling it to sort of "fly under the radar?"

Or, is there something fundamentally different about pagan worship that discourages opposition from both atheists and monotheists, or at least encourages indifference from these other groups?
