The situation is that we dated briefly in high school, but stayed friends throughout the years. I'm married now, and he's in a longterm relationship, but they don't live together. I don't want to get in touch so that we could rekindle anything. Even though we did date, we were friends first and foremost, and the dating took a back seat.

We had a lot in common, and there were times he was there for me when my own family should have been and weren't. For instance, I was in the hospital when I was fifteen, and my family didn't come, but when I woke up he was standing at the foot of my bed.

I was really ill for several years and things in my life went terribly wrong, and the same happened to him. Anyway, because of my illness I became really withdrawn and lost contact with everyone I knew.

I was thinking of dropping a note and a book I wanted him to have in his mailbox, and explain what happened. I wanted to let him know that even if we don't see each other (continued)

Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. Galatians 6:7

It's only when we face our sins, that God's forgiving grace not only changes our thoughts and actions; it will also change our hearts. Grace doesn't paint over our sins and flaws; it changes us from deep within.

That they are just like a bunch of 7 year olds in a playground arguing about what Pokemon is the best and why. Each one is convinced of his own position and KNOWS that THEIR choice is the right one and everyone else's is wrong.
The problem is that most of these 7 year olds know, deep down, that their Pokemon is made up.
So, why can't theists understand that their gods are just the same? Imaginary beings with NO basis in reality.

From last thursday to this thursday has been horrible for me.... or at least slightly worse than normal. ( I tend to exaggerate) Anyone else having a rough week? Tell me about it. Maybe just venting will help you.

And so this can be in the R&S section why don't you tell me your religious beliefs as well. :-)

My husband is Mexican and his father died when he was 5 and his name was Constantino. It means stable and firm. We have had two miscarriages so far and I was just curious if I was to get pregnant and have a girl if I should name her Constance. When I was pregnant I thought of several ways to name our kid after his father, but wasn't sure how then I seen a tv show and her name was Constance Marie and I thought that was very pretty. I thought about changing the middle name though. Should I do this?

iffy thing. Read the first part to get the idea here -

The way to understand our origins is to remember that living organisms are in a state of constant change - It's not that evolution *can* occur, but that it *must* occur, simply because there is no mechanism in living organisms to ensure perfect, flawless reproduction for ever.

Suppose you could study a population of chimpanzees in the jungle, on a timescale of millions of years. Clearly, each individual only lives a few decades, so the population is constantly being succeeded by individuals which are different from their parents, because reproduction is imperfect - and remember, this is *inevitable*. It can't *not* happen. All the time this population is inter-breeding, the genes are getting mixed together, and only genes which work well with all other chimpanzee genes will tend to get passed down to successive generations (because individuals with genes that don't work well together will tend not to survive and reproduce).

mike was walking through a railway train tunnel when he suddenly heard a train approaching. looking at the markers inside the tunnel, he saw that he was 2/5 the distance from one end of the tunnel and 3/5 the distance from teh other end of the tunnel.

if mike runs as fast as he can towards either end, he will escape from the tunnel just as the train reaches him.

if the train is moving 60km/h, how fast is mike running?

thanks for the answers!

I started using the Nuvaring last Monday when I thought my period had started; the directions saying using it the first day and it will wok immediately. I wasn't on any hormonal birth control beforehand. Anyway, the day I inserted it I had a pinkish discharge which usually means I'm starting my period...however, my period was extremely light and didn't get heavier until a couple days later. Now it's been a week and 3 days and it seems that I'm still on my period. I don't really know what's going on, and now I'm afraid that I put the ring in too soon and it won't work. I've noticed that I didn't have any cramping or headaches which I have every time I get my period (horrible cramps) so that makes me think that it's okay, and also I spoke to my doctor briefly about how my period was light in the beginning and she said that was normal. Anyway, does this sound normal? Should I take it out and try again when my period starts next month?

A nice 4 year University that isn't that bad. I'm looking for one that at least is not completely unknown. :)

I'm doing a sport all 4 years, and an EC 4 years, and figure skating for 15 years.

To shirking responsiblity and calling the Democarts a bunch of terrorist lovers?

If Democats loved terrorists wouldnt they support Bush's failed policies? HELLO?

We know its wrong, but they are desperate enough to turn that far away from reality, as some of the hateful BS on this site shows.

When opening a webpage with imagine it d/l's a few of the and the rest come out as "x". Most the time it won't let me open google or any other webpage. Im using 2wire DSL modem w/ 1gig connection but its still slow browsing and downloading. Suppose that a cyclic group G has exactly three subgroups: G itself, {e}, and a subgroup of order 7. How many elements are in G? What can you say if 7 is replaced with p where p is a prime?

(e is the identity)

Ok, aren't e and G always subgroups of G? Is the answer supposed to be 7? I don't know how to think about this.
