As long as your ACT/SAT scores are at least slightly better than average, you should have no problem getting into many of the well known state schools. The fact that you have extracuriculars and athletics will help too. You can check the websites of schools you are interested to get the exact minimum requirements, but I think you should be fine.

To get into any college requires a bit of creativity. Now would be a good time to start. Google the web saites of some colleges you'd be interested in, check admissions, and see what they're looking for., I know , what you're about to go through ain't gonna be easy, but with a 3.0-p 3.5 GPA, you'll get into a good school.

Yes even a GPA of 2.0.
Look for impacted programs? Why?
They do not tell you that there is construction or the building is being built. Other words the program does not exist or shares rooms with other majors/minors. Are the teachers really BA in Math but teaching Chemistry? or BA in Administration teaching Freshman English.
Watch out for advertising for classes not required; even for General Education. ""Learn Martial Arts incase you walk the subways....just buy a gun.""

If your SATs and class rank are ok, you'll get into most State Universities with a 3.5 The truth of the matter is, that with the exception of the Ivies and a few other schools, colleges are not as selective as the'd like you to think.

oh absolutely. sounds very well rounded. you'll have plenty of options. hope you find a great one that is an awesome fit for you! and don't be afraid to reach for a school you might think you can't get into. don't think in terms of "isn't that bad," you can do a heck of a lot better than that. make sure to look at athletic scholarships, too.
