To all you uneducated people. If you agree with this ridiculous rule, then you must've had sex at 7!!! I honestly dont't understand this mentalitly of "if they're gonna do it, then they should be protected." That is such you know what. Does that mean they should hand out baby blankets too!? Just in case they have the "urge?" Come on guys! Kids need to have some responsibility and self control for their actions! Believe it or not, not all kids will or SHOULD have sex when they are in 6th grade! Our culture is going down, way down, and it is because of this and dumb stuff like the HPV virus. Kids SHOULD NOT be having sex until they're mentally, and physically ready. And I don't care what kind of so called "mature" kid it is, because that's what they are, KIDS! They are not emotionally prepared for the aftermath of sex, no matter how many condoms or pills they have. These KIDS are in middle school, they should not even be THINKING about sex until they are much older, AT LEAST in High School for crying out loud! And where are these parents whose kids are having sex in middle school?! I'm sorry, but parents need to be parents NOT friends. They need to say no once in a while, and set restrictions. This is truly and utterly ridiculous.

I would sue anyone who gave my child a drug without a doctors prescription, period. Some mighty strange things are going on in Main there needs to be a federal investigation to see what is going on there. Some years back forener groups moved in and took over some small Oregon towns, ran their people for all government positions, rigged the elections, so they all got in power and started doing the same strange things, citizens were drugged, then they had a buffet and poisoned all the long time residents before anything was done. They got mighty sick, I can tell you that. This NOT FICTION IT HAPPENED. If our government doesn't check it out there is a virus in DC. These fools are targeting americas children, we had better all get involved and quick.

word this from the object: This week, the scientific employer asked the committee to make delivery-administration pills attainable to severe college-elderly pupils who have been nevertheless in midsection college and no longer able to get entry to the delivery control attainable on the highschool, stated Portland college Committee member Robert O'Brien. So we are relatively in simple terms speaking approximately people who've been held lower back (academically) yet no longer held lower back (wacka-chicka-wacka-ly).

Please excuse my language, but this needs to be said. If I had a child in that school, first, I would tell the principal and the superintendent to go f*ck themselves. Second, take my kid out of public school and put them in a christian or private school. More liberal bullsh*t. First they are doing this with high school kids, now middle school. In 10 or 20 years, will it be 3rd graders? Liberals know no boundaries.

I think someone finally recognizes that our kids are sexually active at earlier ages. If we're not going to do an effective job of educating them (which is not giving them permission to have sex, but educating on how their bodies function) then we should at least help them protect themselves.

If parents are doing such a great job at home, why are our kids so sexually active with such disastrous results?

As sick as it is, it figures in Maine. Maine is very poor, there are few jobs and the people are mostly drunks and druggies on welfare. Checkered flannel shirts work boots and beat up pick up trucks. It is sad. Even sicker is that they give these little kids freedom to have sex, then get outraged and lock up some unemployed horney ugly drunk hick that has sex with one. Just who do they think these little kids are having sex with anyway? Duh?

Maybe not between 11-13, but after 14 I would definitely introduce the concept of condoms and birth control. It is important to have responsibility from the start. I support that decision.

What's with all the thumbs-down? I swear to God, this forum is getting more and more infected with the horrible plague commonly known as Conservatism.

i dont agree with having sex so young
but that doesnt stop kids from doing it
i say better safe than sorry
educate them early
if they are not educated
more diseases
and more unwanted pregnancies
you dont have to like it
but its true
changing schools is not going to stop a child from having sex
if u educate them and teach them the risks
hopefully they will make the right decision
