Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. Galatians 6:7

It's only when we face our sins, that God's forgiving grace not only changes our thoughts and actions; it will also change our hearts. Grace doesn't paint over our sins and flaws; it changes us from deep within.

Before I was born again into Christ, I thought being "pretty good", was good enough. I figured God was too busy to pay attention to the "little" things in my small life. Boy, openening a Bible taught me just how wrong I was. God knows every hair on my head, and every thing I do, say and think.

I have been so blessed with a rich prayer life and relationship with God. He has changed my heart and my life in so many beautiful and loving ways. Mind you, that does not mean I have liked everything He has pointed me to, LOL, but I know that he loves me deeply, and that the things He teaches me are for His glory, and my good, no matter how I see it at the time.

Thank you for the wonderful reminder to us all.

God bless.

I've never tried to hide my mistakes in life. I know what I do wrong... I think I always knew, even when teenager.

Shame? Yes, many times, but my prayers are sincere and come from the heart. I am honest with God and with myself. I tell him I know I did something wrong, I ask for forgiveness, but I never promise him not to do it again, because I am weak, however, I ask him to help me not to fall into temptation again... There are other little "sins" that I say to God "I am sorry, but this one I can't repent, although I know I was mean (or naughty)".

I am honest, because He is my best friend.

Peace!

I've prayed for forgiveness big time for my sins and I am a Christian......meaning I believe Jesus is the son of God....(definition of a Christian) BUT I HAVE LOST FAITH AT MANY TIMES. You know how people tend to pray to God for things when they are down and out??? I was actually finally comfortable in my life (yes, renting as our credit is bad because of ILLNESS, DRUG ADDICTION - NO - NOT MY DRUG ADDICTION) but we've gone through hell and we are both extremely intelligent people. I praised GOD every single day for allowing me to feel less stress.....I didn't pray ONLY when things were bad......I praised when we had food!!!!! AND GUESS WHAT???? I was laid off 7 weeks ago and it's been hell. So you can pray and pray and you go on with your good old self. MY GOD doesn't want ME to have things --- no matter how hard I WORK (I'm 49 and have worked since I was 13!!!)

Yeah! and how foolish because I was only deceiving myself and self deception is the worse deception of all but praise God I'm learning and I'm growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

good question; reminds me of the first humans Adam and Eve. As soon as they sinned against God they became ashamed, ran and tried to hide from God and man has not stopped.

How is that possible? Sometimes I have been ashamed to admit some sins. With practice it gets easier. Sometimes I recall sins that I have given to go into a sea of forgetfulness. Even when God forgives us , we have trouble forgiving ourselves.

Our sins come into remembrance and we feel bad. Isn't it wonderful that God will remember it no more.

No, I have never even considered it... because it's impossible anyway. I confess to having several continual sins that I suffer with, but I am still always aware of them right after I do them and feel ashamed and thus ask forgiveness right away.

YOU CANNOT HIDE ANYTHING FROM GOD! God asked adam in the garden where he was at because he wanted adam to confess what he had done...as for me...naw, i dont try to hide my sins from GOD! But when i sin , i do try to hide from GOD all together ! it is the carnal nature that man took on in the garden of eden when adam and eve fell! And i can always tell in my spirit when i have messed up (sinned) because the inner peace and happiness is disturbed! THE BIBLE ALSO SAYS "BE SURE YOUR SINS WILL FIND YOU OUT"

I'm getting tired of that "god is not mocked" passage. I and quite a lot of others mock Him on a regular basis, and nothing happens. I'd say that gives lie to at least that part of your old storybook, no?

Yes, at one time I thought I was hiding, but because of His love for me, they were exposed. I am thankful that He has changed me from within and that I no longer do alot of the stupid things that I use to do. He has also changed my thinking.

I tried to hide them under a rock in the yard, but he found them there. Then I hid them behind the toilet, and he found them there, too.

Don't tell, but they're in a blue jar in the cabinet above the fridge. He hasn't found the cookies that are in there either.
