the government keeps saying soldiers gave their lives for our freedom. we were never in danger of not being free only in danger of not controlling the oil in the middle east of late. Vietnam? still no danger of fredom taken away! WWII ? fights over land not our freedom or taking over our country to bee worried about. truth is no country is trying to take over the US but the gov. tells people these wars are for our freedom so we dont question their authority. why do idiots keep getting suckered into joing the military when the only people who ever died for our country were the forefathers . And as far as freedom goes the US gov is just a big PIMP the has you go out and work, then you give them some of the money you made just like a hooker does. sounds pretty free to me!! greatest country? maybe just the lesser of all these evils? more like the richer of all the evils but we still cant feed our homeless!! but we sure feed the rest of the world and then some

I have lost well over 100 pounds in the last 10 months. I have been copeing with a body perception problem where When I look in the mirror I still see myself as fat and feel like I am disappearing in the presence of others etc.... My few friends that I have make me feel as if I have done something wrong by losing weight. Even my mother makes me feel this way at times. My husband never makes me feel bad about it or when I was fat either. He has always been supportive. He sees how when I am with my friends I come home a bit more depressed than before I went out with them. He has suggested that for the time being anyway that I should maybe try to make friends with others who didn't know me when I was fat. What are your thoughts?

...and you had come to your conclusions after extensive investigation, determining instead that they all believe in Santa simply because they were raised to, and further suppose that the Santa believers had already passed numerous laws that restrict your freedom based on nothing but Santa belief, and further suppose they were trying to introduce 'intelligent levitation' as an alternative to aerodynamics, and further suppose that the Y!A mythology section was filled with people talking about how great Santa is, would you hang out there for hours on end telling people - in a nice way - that they were delusional?

I worked 14 hours yesterday and I stopped by my friends house on the way home just to say hi and he treated me hateful. It was about 9 pm and he was studying for a test for his job and he was so nasty to me, I told him I hoped he lost his job and it would do him good to have some time away.
I also expressed to him I praid about his health and hoped he would lose his job. I told him I was tired of him working himself to death while his family cant even stop by for a meal. They treat him pretty bad. He just works himself nearly to death. He has diabetes, high blood pressure, borderline renal function.
He was laid off today for flunking the test. He cannot return to work until he passes the test. I am delighted. He is not saying too much about it.
Do you think a prayer was answered?

the ones that say things like: "Hillary would make a bad presidend because shes a woman, and women are all about emotion. I do not want the president making a rash move just because she is PMSing (and I am a woman). " eww, there are a lot of good reasons why hilary shouldnt be president, this is not one of them. yet they're focusing on that? why? hearing a man say this is bad, hearing a women say it is heartbreaking! what ahappened to femenism and thinking we were JUST as smart as men and just as capable of doing the same work!!:[

Got some new boots and not used to a totally smooth sole. It feels like I'm ice-skating when on carpet. Want to avoid busting my rear.

Brainstorm ideas/theories:
-scuff up bottom with heavy grip sandpaper,
-(a more "out there" idea) mask off upper shoe and apply spray can of truck bed liner to sole.

anything simple and common that is done?

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.
(Hardly seems worth it.)

If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb.
(Now that's more like it!)

The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps out to the body to squirt blood 30 feet.
(O.M.G.!)

A pig's orgasm lasts 30 minutes.
(In my next life, I want to be a pig.)

A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. (Creepy.)
(I'm still not over the pig.)

Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories a hour.
(Don't try this at home, maybe at work)

The male praying mantid cannot copulate while its head is attached to its body. The female initiates sex by ripping the male's head off.
(Honey, I'm home. What the...?!)

The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It's like a human jumping the length of a football field.
(30 minutes..lucky pig! Can you imagine?)

The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds.
(What could be so tasty on the bottom of a pond?)

Some lions mate over 50 times a day.
(I still want to be a pig in my next life...quality over quantity)

Butterflies taste with their feet.
(Something I always wanted to know.)

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.
(Hmmmmmm......)

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people.
(If you're ambidextrous, do you split the difference?)

Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump.
(Okay, so that would be a good thing)

A cat's urine glows under a black light.
(I wonder who was paid to figure that out?)

An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain.

Starfish have no brains.

I am 30 and my father has been on drugs since I can remember. Me, my mother and brother moved out of state when I was 11, and I recently moved back 4 years ago. My father is abusive to his girlfriend and was very abusive to my mother. I mean he has done some terrible things. He lives with his girlfriend part of the time and part of the time he lives on the streets like a bum.

I was downtown with my cousin one weekend and saw him walking. He was dirty and ungroomed and I just broke down and cried. The thing is he chooses to live that way. He likes to make people feel sorry for him. It's always all about him and what he's going through. Poor dad this and poor dad that. He calls me to say he's homeless and hungry and he expects me to do something about it.

Sometimes I go 2 months or so without hearing from him. Then one day I'll call his girlfriend's house and he'll be there. His first words are "I'm hungry and need you to bring me something to eat!". He says it in such a ...

Before you start saying I'm a lesbian, I'm not. I'm attracted to men, but I have so much anger towards them. I have not dated in three years because I do not want to deal with men and in a way seem happier. But it is getting to the point that I can't work with men or even deal with them in a store or restaurant. I always feel like men are out to screw me over or treat me like I am dumb or an emotional female. My sister recently got married. I told her that I would be in her wedding if I could walk down the aisle myself so I could symbolize independence. She did not take me seriously. This guy tried to grab my arm to walk me down the aisle and I would not let him and had a major hissy fit in a church? Why do I act like this?

Isn't this just the sort of calm, measured, rational statement you expect from our President, as he works to lower tensions and build consensus?

"We've got a leader in Iran who has announced that he wants to destroy Israel," Bush said. "So I've told people that, if you're interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon."

GW's approval rating have slid to 24% according to newest Reuters/Zogby Poll.

if you're still loyal to The Cowboy of God you have to be either ...

a mega wealthy millionaire (have) or billionaire (have more) who benefits nicely from GW's tax cuts and the reduction in government oversight of corporate safty codes and pollution standards.
OR
you're a patheticly neoCONNED moron who stubbornly can't admit to having made a horrible mistake in voting for GW Bush (twice!).

my question is ... which of these 2 kinds of loyal GW supporters are you?
