Yes, my husband's friend Tom. He's a nice, sweet, mostly intelligent guy, but when it comes to girls he is extremely foolish. Here's his story: I (regrettably) played cupid to make him see that my then-friend Amanda had a crush on him. He started dating her, fell head over heels in love with her, and asked her to marry him. She said yes, but before they married he had to leave for the Navy. About 2 months after he was gone to boot camp, she made out with another guy and moved into a house with three other guys, all of whom she was very flirtatious with. He broke up with her. But when he came back to visit at Christmas, he hooked back up with her (although at that time she was engaged to another man who she'd only known for a couple months) and again, he asked her to marry him and again she said yes. As soon as he went back to his base, she called him and broke up with him (this was after she got in an accident with his car, told him she had been pregnant with his baby but miscarried (which was completely untrue, it was NOT his baby) and after her other fiance had sent Tom quite a few death threats.) Okay, so you'd think he'd know by that time that this girl is nothing but trouble. But no. Tom got a different girlfriend who he liked quite a bit, but as soon as Amanda called him to complain that she wasn't entirely happy in her marriage, Tom started phone-dating her and offered to meet her this coming Christmas instead of his other girlfriend, who he had had plans to meet for Christmas. Now because of his stupid addiction to this rotten girl, his other girlfriend dumped him and he still will never be able to get Amanda to stay loyal to him, she's just pulling his chain because she can. I think they are both fools, but he's the biggest one because no matter how many times she hurts him, he keeps going back for more.
