My wifes car is due for a service and the garage reckon she needs new brake pads and discs. She is a vey careful driver and has only done 3000 miles. I believe she is being ripped off. Can the pads and disks be worn so fast and what is normal for the weardown of disks and breakpads

Isnt there some aspect of our humanity that would have clicked in and said "hey its just not right to have human being slaugther each other for our enjoyment".

I wonder if there were at least some romans who had a more enlightened view point and abstained from the gory festivities for "humanitarian reasons".

Ok, so I know cops can catch you speeding by sitting on the side of the road with their radar gun, but can they catch you while they are driving? For example, you're on the freeway going north, and a cop passes you going south, can he/she tell how fast you are going? Also, if you and the cop are going the same direction (the cop is behind you)?

I have no experience in the real estate business. So I was wondering: If you want to sell your house and buy another house of equal or lesser value, is it possible to somehow just "transfer" your mortgage over to the other house (keeping the same rate) and not have to get a completely new mortgage?

I only started collecting Fiestaware 3-4 years ago when I registered for wedding gifts. I don't like the cinnabar red with the other colors I chose and it's too late to return anything.

Does anyone know of any websites where people trade colors or would be willing to swap full place settings? This isn't the old collectable stuff, it's only 3 1/2 years old and from Macy's.

Hi, I am a 30 Yr + normal person living in HK. I have a steady BF. We got along fine but he is more adventerous in bed than I am. Recently he stopped taking any interested in me. I found that he is seeing a fillipina in his office. She is 20 yrs old. I confronted her. She said that she is married, her husband works in Saudi Arabia, and she is only trying to supplement her income. She will leave my BF the day she finds a richer man. In my house, my mom's ideal soap threat was Palmolive dish liquid; mainly because it was the only soap she used to wash dishes and knew it tasted like crap. I absolutely hated it when they made the bottle smaller in the Ultra soap because the bigger bottles were easier to knock out of her hand, the smaller one had the tight grip and she was able to hold onto it much easier.

Palmolive tastes like crap, I can't use that soap to this day.

I had a suspicion my hubby was cheating so I got into his yahoo email. Well there were several dating site emails and porn links. I got into one of them and he had written that he was married looking for a discreet encounter. He signed up for it when I was out of town with friends. I approached him about it, he said he doesnt remember doing that. There were also pictures of some half naked girl saved into his email.
