Does this dog exist... smaller size, not real barky, nippy, scared... good with kids and other animals, not a one owner type breed, not over energetic and not hard to housebreak. Hey, I like big dogs ( I have a Great Dane) but my man likes little ones and I'd like to do some research but am looking for people who love their small dogs and why!

...Thanks to the great gazoo and one of his answers referencing this article....

Scientists have built the polio virus to a living, duplicating state.

--"scientists synthesized bits of DNA and strung them together into a chain roughly 7,400 molecules long, making a DNA copy of the polio virus' genes. Next, they used a natural enzyme to copy the DNA into RNA--the genetic material used by the virus nature created. Finally, they stuck the RNA into a special sauce filled with chemicals and bits of cellular machinery, such as protein factories called ribosomes. Almost magically, the RNA copied itself and began to make the proteins and other components of the real virus."--

It appears as if the 'primordial soup' theory is pretty solid....

I have read many people claim he was an atheist and he recanted etc blah blah.

From what I can read though, he only ever specifically stated he thought the Biblical account of Genesis was fictional.

Can someone find me a quote where he spefically refers to himself as an Atheist?
Why is his religous belief important to people when his science was great?

Heres the short description... I was out for a week for medical reasons. I went back w/a note. A wk. later teacher informs me that they never got the note (when I know they did) I said I would get them a note in about a wk. When I had another Docs appt. 2 days later she says she needs that note or I won't be able to have LOA (the hours credited to me) at this point she has gotten derogatory, degrading and mean. We then had a loud verbal arguement. I left school, called the asst director and complained.(about my note and drug use in the school, cigarrette breaks the teacher had, ect) I go back yesterday... guess what? they found my note IN MY FILE. The supervisor then says that because I made false allegations (all of the other stuff I complained about) she will let me know by friday if she is going to terminate me. if she terminates me I lose my financial aid and I have to pay the $11 thousand to the school. Do I have any legal right 2 take them to court? Sue?

I've been through anxiety, I found my way out without meds through CBT, it seems to me people are just happy to take meds without doing any work, the meds make them feel better they think they are cured, they then come of the meds and they are back to square 1. They are happy just getting there prescription refilled, happy just masking over anxiety without finding the cause to it.

I was under the impression Meds where there to buy you time while you got yourself sorted with CBT and then come off, doctors are also to blame, the refill scripts without questioning it.

Are people going about this the right way or am I wrong?

My son had to have stitches put in and his physican came to sit with him at the ER because he was very nervous and scared. He was not on call and just got back into town from a trip. Any suggestions of what we could do to Thank him besides the usual Thank You card? He will never know how much we appreciate this. He lit up as soon as he saw him walk into the room.

Where do these expectations come from? TV? Magazines? Men? Music videos? Your friends? Your family? How can you (without changing anything about your appearance) still feel good about yourself? How can we encourage our friends who may be feeling a little bit "less than par" because they don't look the way others have told them they should?

Would you support public hangings for those convicted of capital crimes? Also, do you believe that public execution is a deterent for those committing crimes? My opinion is not in this question, and will be posted later. Thank you!
