this was tried on without a slip, etc., but when it's really put together...

So of course I would have it altered to fit better and wear a slip. I also would wear something under to cover my tummy... This picture was not taken the day of the wedding or something to the people with RUDE answers...

I know you love the dress but you wanted people's honest opinions right? Well, as some of the other answerers have stated, the material for the dress is too clingy. And it shows every curve -- the good ones and the not so flattering ones. A slip will not fix it. I do like the ivory color on you though.

Honestly. I think you are a beautiful woman with a cute figure and that dress is not flattering. It's very sheer and looks cheap. Even for an informal wedding it's not formal enough. This is your wedding day. I want you to look your best. How about something like one of these. They are supposed to be for destination weddings but are also nice for less formal weddings.

Except for the colour it reminds me of a 1990's bridesmaid dress. Kinda looks cheap and ugly sorry. It would be fine if it didn't have the extra fabric around the neckline.
However if you like it and are sold on it then wear it. What does it matter what any of the people on here think.

This dress has a very unforgiving and unflattering cut. Any little bump or lump (belly button, bra strap, lace, etc.) will poke through and show up in every picture.

I strongly advise against this dress.

If you are looking for a simple and elegant dress, it is perfect for you. I see that you do know you will need a slip because it is slightly see-through. You are thin and can pull off a sheath-style so you might as well flaunt it because most people couldn't pull this dress off!

I think it is beautiful, simple and elegant (I have a similar one in red and I love it!! My best friend has it in pink! we should all go out together ha ha!)

I think it is very flattering on you, good luck!

I've seen it before in many different colors, and I have worn it in a lime pastel green. I though it was hideous, but it looks really good in white, and you look great.

Awww I like it a lot! The color is sort of an off-white, which really works well with your skin tone, and the front and back design are both really flattering! You look beautiful :)

Congrats!

Its simple and safe. But it is lovely. This is your wedding day! You only get one chance. (Unless you get divorced..you know what I mean. LOL.) Try maybe an A line gown. Those are really popular. Or try getting something that fits your frame. Try it... But it does suit you!
