As well as the "family" section?

I've only ventured to ask a few questions in these sections, even though I would like to ask more, because of this. While most people are pretty decent, I'll usually get between 3-5 really nasty answers, often involving name calling, or extreme views like my partner should have his son taken away from him for living with someone outside of marriage. Why does this stir up so much anger? Is it just religious right thing? Residual anger left over from their parent's own seperation?

And has anyone else experienced this?

A soda glass has the shape of the surface generated by revolving the graph of y=6 x^2 on [0,1] about the y-axis. Soda is extracted from the glass through a straw at the rate of 1/2 cubic inch per second. How fast is the soda level in the glass dropping when the level is 3 inches? (Answer should be implicitly in units of inches per second. Do not put units in your answer. Also your answer should be positive, since we are asking for the rate at which the level DROPS rather than rises.)

if you could talk me through it or give me hints about it that'd be great. the thing that really throws me off is where it says it has the "shape of the surface"..?????

He's been granted conscientious objector status by the US Army on the basis that Jesus has taught him to love his enemies, not kill them.

What do you think of this? Is he right?

Is there a way to get mp4 files (not bought from itunes but somewhere else) onto my iPod's music videos folder?

Whenever I try to open the file, it opens it with the movies folder, and I can't drag-and-drop it into the folder.

my 13 year old was a loner, bit of a nerd, always getting bullied, until he hit high school, now he is hanging around the wrong crowd, sneaking out at night, smoking, getting in trouble with law, lying, wagging school. He is still a great kid on his own, but around his new friends hes a horror! I don't believe in violence, so I have never smacked him in his life, instead as punishment, I usually take things off him, ground him, or send him to his dads for the weekend which he hates as his dad is so strict. but all of that is no longer working. We sit and compromise a lot, I try to be fair by remembering the things I did as a teenager. He admits he is a follower and will be so he doesnt get picked on any more, so he is COOL....... Im scared he will end up a no hoper. He was a gifted child, but now doesnt even care about not getting good marks at school cos " only nerds do that ". I dont yell and scream, I have been told I am too soft, advice from other teenage boys would be good.

Before you all pass judgement... My father-in-law is going through a divorce and he cosigned a camper loan with his wife three years ago. It is a 12 year loan, and she is refusing to make payments on it hoping to ruin his credit (even though she is the primary). He has been making the payments, but is ready to let it go. So, if he were to stop paying it, is there a website that we can go to in order to find out exactly how many points it will lower his credit score?
