Is there a way to get mp4 files (not bought from itunes but somewhere else) onto my iPod's music videos folder?

Whenever I try to open the file, it opens it with the movies folder, and I can't drag-and-drop it into the folder.

As long as it is in .mp4 format, you should be able to drag and drop into itunes from whatever folder it is saved in. I have done it myself. Just make sure that you are not trying to drag a shortcut to the file, and that they are really in .mp4 format.

Don't drag it into your MUSIC folder...

Open up itunes and drag it into your Movies/TVshows section. Should be quite easily done.
