Are they just trying to make a failure out of Iraq? Are they trying to ignite WW3 with their stupid rhetoric? It couldn't wait until the next election to condemn genocide that happened almost 100 years ago? WTF are these jackholes thinking?

Truth Seeker - it's not the resolution, it's the TIMING of the freakin' resolution. In case you didn't know, Turkey is a NATO allie and critical to the war in Iraq. That war was not going on in 2000, and in 2005, the Congress had better sense than trying to push the resolution through!

Yes, they're very insane.

And they're also putting our American troops in danger too.

Most of them are nothing but anti-American sell outs.

70% of supplies that go to our troops cross through the Turkey- Iraq border!

It's like Michael Savage says: "Liberalism is a mental disorder"

Yes, most of congress has reached the point where normal things don't happen very often.
My personal favorite was when Nancy whats her bucket went to the Middle East and represented views against the War, when the country she was represinting was the major player in the war.
But this is a good one too. Convicting a country that has a totally different government now, of genocide that happened a hundred years ago.
On a personal note, I plan to travel through turkey next year. And I would prefer to do that on my blue passport. But its starting to look like I may have to use the red one.

I'm not so sure insane is the word....retarded comes to mind but maybe insane is correct.
Let's see Robert KKK Byrd slobbering everywhere like the village idiot, Ted Kennedy still not even being fined for driving drunk and wrecking off a bridge killing his passenger, Nancy Pelosi leading a house that has no respect for her stupidity, Harry Reid funding his families business' through pork barrel spending, Clinton thinking she's queen of the universe, etc.
They all do everything possible to undermine our troops and undermine USA.
That is why this democrat congress approval rating is quickly approaching single digits.
Ok agreed. They are insane not retarded.

I am seeing in some of the answers that the republican congress tried the same thing since the wars began. I don't remember any outrage about it then. What is really going on here? Ask the republicans what they were thinking when they brought it up. I'd love to hear that response. They were probably thinking the same thing as the democrats. Oh my!

My hope is those who voted for them take another look.
Fool me once shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

Include the very absent Senator from New York. She was kind enough to take leftovers from her Senate campaign 10 million dollars and add it to her Presidential run. But do not despair New York in each and every bill she has included pork that substantially benefits the state. Out of the whole bunch she is #2 biggest spender on political bias. AND we really want those traits in our next President. Plus an out of control Congress?? No thanks!

They do not think past the agenda of each. To play into Turkey's hand here, as England and France have already
just gives them power over us. The floor has yet to pass the bill until next month. SO they force Bush into , what a corner? While Turkey presses it's Parliment for war with the Kurdish Workers Party?? China is mad over the Dali Lama? Putin also went to Germany who are not amused? And they do what? Our troops? A major oil pipeline just opened in the area, all at risk.
Insane is one word that comes to mind. They keep repeating the same foolish manuevers at the risk of every American they are meant to serve!!

(pls note: CHINA needed no excuses to back out of a meeting over Iran sanctions. They are in thick with their oil, pay in euro$ and want no part of it, so Bush and the Dali Lama is a smoke screen... they knew months ago)

I don't think they are insane but I do believe they are typical politicians. They boast a good line then can't do anything they promised. This is typical when it comes to all politicians but the democratic politicians more than others.

So, a non-binding resolution is causing Turkey to attack the Kurds?
I don't support that resolution but stop exaggerating the consequences.

Don't confuse insanity with stupidity. I'm sure most of these people are clinically sane, they're just so dumb that they'll agree to anything somebody else says as long as they can't be held directly responsible for anything. Don't forget, most of these morons will get re-elected to office as long as they don't get caught trolling the men's room at the airport.

[The Republicans tried to introduce the same legislation in 2000 and again in 2005. Where was the uproar then??? ]

Maybe you should ask the Turks or our press for not covering it if the Turks were actually upset then. I thnk the difference is that it passed as a resolution this time and died in committee before - congrats, libs.
