I'm having a real hard time with spiritual beliefs it's hard for me to believe in god with so much peril in the word and without factual proof. I'm trying hard to find something to believe in, but the bible just seems to be fictional stories believed by uneducated unsofisticated people two thousand years ago.

Now Im not saying that it's all a lie (not sure) but it is a perfect way to control people. What better way can you control a society without any physical threat at all? At the same time, how else can you rally your people into doing something productive? All Im saying is that religion is effing genius and Humanity wouldnt survive without it. Although, it may be our downfall. Is my logic wrong?

Every other answer or question I see is filled with hatred towards someone who stands behind a different political party.

I've been asked to do a presentation in school about the effects of global warming, and some skeptics always ask me the following:

1) Earth's climate has been hotter in the past then it is now or any future projections, so why should we worry?

2) All this could be natural, what makes you think it is caused by humans?

3) Isn't global warming good? We'll see warmer temperatures, and crop yields will increase

I need to give a response to these questions, so please help. Thanks a lot =)

how is the invasion of iraq "war on terror?" its more of a war OF terror. what happened on 9-11 didnt came from iraq, it came other countries near it, bush just wants oil so he went to iraq and slap saddam to get some oil, and used excuses like iraq has some destructive weapons. dont you know war has its benefits? airline tickets, rich people fleeing, oil, if you think about it bush doesnt give a **** about what happens to innocent people, he just wants his oil. he even made secret torture encampments that violate our country's law. how would you call it war on terror if we did not attack the terrorists that did 9-11? it might be old news but its something i dont understand. y isnt anyone slapping bush?
