Hey, don't get so defensive! There are a helluva lot of men out there who neglect the baby in diapers and let their bottoms burn. We only speak from experience, and that's the truth.
You are a good father to be concerned about this. Does it look like neglect to you? Or abuse? You have a gut feeling about this, right? Go with the gut feeling...that's what people do who have those nurturing instincts. If it's neglect, it's bad enough. If it's abuse, it's incredibly bad. Either way, you need to step in and take action, even if that means legally! Do NOT delay!

If your child is still in diapers, this could be a sign of neglect. He is not changing your child's diaper and leaving it soaked to where your child can get diaper rash or some other irritation from urine. If your child isn't in diapers, and you are noticing his bottom burned that it bleeds, then you might want to take him into the emergency to get checked to see if he/she is being abused either physically or sexually. The doctor will do a full examination from head to toe. If they find anything wrong with the child, the doctor or staff will call the police because that is their policy, they have to. Sometimes they call even before the child is examined so they can speak to you about the child.
Either way, your ex is not taking care of your child, otherwise, your child would not have any type of burned bottom. You may also want to ask your ex what has happened.
If I were you, I would not let your ex near your child at all, until you find out what is happening to your child. You as a parent are suppose to protect your child from harm. So, do the right thing.

Go to the doctor because its because she is neglecting him. When i say neglect i mean she's not changing his diapers or nothing. Make a mark on all diapers in the bag that's not noticeable and you will see and start measuring the milk containers and everything. Write down everything she do wrong to that child and when it comes to you guys going to court then she will be wrong cause guess what you note all these things such as date, time, and monitor to see if the child is real hungry all so and start taking pictures.

Are you stating the butt is burnt due to nappy rash because SHE is not changing him often enough?
Then yes this is not only neglect , it's torture and pure lazyness on her part , whats she doing spending all day on line chatting up men and not paying the baby attention?
Take the child to your local GP and have the child assessed then take pictures and documents from the GP and ring child safety and report her , this is not fair on this poor child to be neglected and abused this way.

YES IT IS!!!!!! There is NO reason why your child should have a bottom like that. If this man was any kind of a man he would take care of his child to right way. How would you feel if your bottom was like that, now just think how your child feels. That is neglect big time. It is not hard to change a child and to take care of them.!!! Think about your safety of your child before giving them to your ex again!

I currently have a 5 yr old with eczema and she scratches herself to the point of bleeding. However, if it's from not changing a diaper or from spanking, it's clearly abuse. You must photograph and document this abuse, if that's what it is.
What is it burned from? Poop will burn skin if not changed and cleaned quickly. And then there's skin problems, like psoriasis and eczema. Use your instincts. And your physician.

You haven't provide any info regarding how your child got these burns or if they were inflicted intentionally by your ex.
I agree that a Doctor should be consulted immediately.
Let the doctor make the necessary recommended path to follow.

Probably abuse, and you should go directly to an emergency room for treatment and explain the situation to them and either they will contact the police or you should. This is also a good reason to end all visitation or institute only supervised visitation because this guy - or someone in his house at least - is abusing your son.
