I have a small collection, from a 1/2 cent 1855 California gold coin to a 1835 1/2 cent, a 1835 Half Anna from India, an 1806 Georgius III D:C Rex from Britiania and a 1288 coin with the Star of David on the back, and some others. Can any one help me find a good place on the internet to find the value of them?

When I read forums and messages I interpret them to be negative. When you read things, you usually can't tell the tone of the message. But for some reason, I always read it to be the negative. When I read video comments on YouTube or even answers to questions here on Y!Answers, unless they are worded precisely to sound positive, I take them to be negative.

This also goes for correction and criticism. For example, when I write a paper for a class, the professor grades it and hands it back. And when I read his/her comments, I always immediately take it to be an attack of some sort. They may disagree with my reasoning on some subject, and I feel anger towards them for critiquing my work. The thing is, though, I am rarely angry about things and I always try to keep an open mind. But my natural reaction to a criticism is always the negative.

I was just wondering if others are similar or maybe have some comments on the subject. I appreciate it!

I always thought she was lying about taking performance enhancing drugs, because when she was trying to make a comeback, she routinely got her butt kicked. My kid is in an honors college. Perks are (1) early registration (2) a nicer dorm closer to classrooms (3) honors seminars on topics of interest to professors; (4) a faculty mentor, in addition to an advisor. Negatives are (1) the honors kids have to take a certain number of honors classes, which means that their electives are limited; (2) kids in the honors dorm aren't invited to parties, and my kid complains that the other freshman honors students keep talking about their high school accomplishments and are extremely competitive to the point of insanity. He's doing great academically, but says that he doesn't get the point of an honors diploma. He wants to quit the honors program and use his electives to pick up a double major. His scholarship wouldn't be affected if he dropped honors. What do you think?

I am learning German and I want to practice alot, since I am a fan of rock and metal (mostly power metal) I was thinking I could add German rock/metal to my studying material. So any suggestions will be greatly apreciated. I prefer bands you can understand what they are saying...so black and death metal wont help me much.
