I adopted this dog from a local humane society and she is a 3 year old daschund/jack russell terrier mix. She is in heat(I'm getting her fixed in 2 weeks) but I don't know if this has anything to do with the way she's been acting. She seems very sluggish and not energetic by no means. She was eating wet dog food for the first few days but today she hasn't eaten or drank any water. All she wants to do is sleep. And when she's in my room with me she never gets up unless I do. She don't even get up to tell me she needs to go to the bathroom. When we do go out to the bathroom all she does is urinate. I've had her now for 4-5 days and I've only seen her leave droppings twice. Is this what dogs do when they are in heat or is she sick? If anyone has any information it would be much appreciated. Thanks again..

Is being a farm defined by state law or federal law ? Does being a farm relate to what percent of your surface land is covered, or does it relate to the absolute dollars of produce grown ? What are the primary tax and "subsidy" benefits of having a small farm ?

Like if someone had a uti and got a culture done, could stds show up?

I don't need lectures about being tested by the way, I already do. I just wondered if this would happen, cause it seems to make sense. If not, why?

My mother lives in an apartment complex that is Equal Housing Opportunity. She doesn't make much money but when she does get a raise her rent goes up a bit, which is to be expected.
Now, what boggles my mind is that whenever one of her neighbors (that also live in the same complex) move out, the apartment manager raises her rent and everyone elses in the complex to make up for the difference. There are about 8 different complexes that belong to these apartments and each complex has 8 units. So when one person moves out 7 other tenants have their rent raised and when someone else moves in the rent stays up and doesnt come back down.

So! My question, is this legal?

Talk about double standards. Do you think atheists will strive to have a question removed if someone tells them that they're going to spend eternity in hell and are the spawn of Satan?
I love it how Christians know how to turn the other cheek. I love their tolerance of rival beliefs.

watching people drive everyday, you see such an attitude don't you? How many times do you see the guy or girl, wave the middle finger we all know and love at you? And the funny thing is that they are mad at you for calling them on something they have done wrong as a fellow driver(cutting you off, or my favorite, not using the directional signals! What is one of your driving pet peeves!

I'll occasionally get into a debate with a True Believer of some sort and the topic will turn to empirical proof of religion. I'll ask something like "how come you can't faith-heal an amputee under laboratory conditions" or something like that. Often, the person's defense is that it really does come down to faith and nothing else.

So, if it's ultimately faith, why not have faith in a religion of your own making? Why not start a fun religion where kinky, non-procreational sex is encouraged and where smoking maryjane is a sacrament? Why not a religion where the deity is a smiling guy named "Bob" and where every day is a holy day and a paid holiday? Why not just dump all that grim hellfire 'n' brimstone stuff and believe in a nice, fun religion instead?

I wanted a clean slate on my computer, so I decided to format my laptop; a Dell Inspiron 6000.

I completely deleted all partitions, and then created one in the empty partition space (so Symantec backup is inaccessible). However, I am not sure which drivers to install to make my computer internet-accessible (ethernet controllers), nor do I know what sound card drivers and graphics/video/display drivers to download so that my computer will function as it was before.

I have a Dell Dimension ResourceCD [contents: Device drivers, Diagnostics and utilities, Computer documentation].
My format CD was a Windows XP Home Edition that came with my desktop computer (a 2400), which is what I used to format my laptop.

Thanks in advance for any help.

A pharmaceutical chemist runs a chromatography test on a substance and identifies two of its components by comparing their Rf values against certain standards. If the two components have Rf values of 1.0 and 0.41 and the solvent front has traveled 12.0 cm from the samples origin, what is the separation distance on the chromatogram??
