The Mariners spent most of the year getting oh-so-close to the Angels in the division, and would always choke it away, until they KEPT losing and couldn't stop and then it spun out of control. The M's were nice overperformers this year but it was obvious they couldn't handle making that final push when they had the chance. They ALWAYS lost when they got within a game or a half game. Not to mention choking away the wild-card when they had many golden opportunities to hold onto that as well.

The NY Mets. Going into the last few weeks of the season they were up by several games and wound up not even making the wild card.
The Red Sox almost choked but managed to hang on to win the AL East.

captain (first answer person)--the brewers and tigers play in soft divisions? wow... shows how much you know.
yes, the tigers choked... they were by far the best team in baseball at the all-star breaked then went in a downward spiral.
the mets obviously choked, granted the phillies played great baseball.
the padres also choked the wild card lead big time.

Mets, Tigers and Mariners choked....the mets REALLY choked.

I completely have faith you. Crosby is comprehensive the bigger hockey participant and maximum of all he's the captian of his team and Datsyuk isn't. i'd desire to take a captain over an assistant anyday. Crosby knows of the right thank you to steer and play via skill of occasion and in the playoffs this is the central. Datsyuk is marvelous are not getting me fallacious, and this 12 months he single-handedly saved the Wings in that playoff series vs. the Sharks and after 2 rounds he would desire to have been the Conn Smythe winner. yet in this occasion, Crosby has via no skill fairly disenchanted in the playoffs yet and he's the great participant on earth.

I can honestly and openly say (although it pains me to do so) that The Tigers choked big time. They practically gave the division title to cleveland.

The Detroit Tigers and the Milwaukee Brewers. They both play in soft divisions, and neither could hold a lead.
