why do we stand in line to eat sugar coated carbohydrate soaked, grease fried potatoes. greasy "meat?" burgers with gobs of mayonnaise, and chemically raised and hemroid injected chickens?

I want my fourth grade students to find definitions in their textbooks rather than me writing the definition out for them. Sometimes the definition is written in the text rather than the glossery or dictionary. What is the best way to teach them to find the definition of a word for themselves? Any suggestions would be great. BTW, I am a six week old teacher (in other words, a newbie) so ya'll (sorry, I live in Oklahoma) experienced teachers just pour it on for me.

Does the velocity of the two carts as they reverse direction increase, decrease, or stay the same?

Notes: the carts do not hit each other, but the magnets make them reverse direction. This is a frictionless, airless environment, no forces acting other than the force of the carts being initially pushed.

The biowheel is from the freshwater and has been running for about 6 months. I never changed it per the manufacturers directions. I am using a new carbon filter but I was just wondering if the freshwater biowheel would cause any harm?

I have just given a stranger $5.00, (Five dollars). He was trying to sale some thing to make money to get home. He was asking $20.00 dollars for the item and at first I said no and drove off. A mile or two down the road I had a change of hart but I only had a five on me. So I turned around and went back to the gas station. He was there when I returned so I drove to him and told him that I didn't have the twenty but I could give him five. And drove away. I don't know if he was lost or not so I asked the Goddess to help him find his path. Foolish or not I did what I needed to do. What would you do?

i have a b+ average so far from freshman and sophmore but hoping to get an a+ average in honors in english and in ap in history. my elective is indepentant studies, and web design. in sports i am soccer for 2 years. and i am in junior just sarted. in model un for 3 years and in school newspaper.

next year my elective will be psycology,economics,indepent studies and trying out for softball.

I have been trying out a premixed "flesh tint" but I find that it has too much red in it.

I also like to use just plain lemon yellow tinted with white, but that can give off a green glow.

What are your favorites? Which pure colors or mixes?

And which colors do you like to use for shadow. I like lamp black, but was thinking of playing with some raw or burnt umber.
