whom you MUST worship because it loves you more than anyone and will prove it when you die by sending you to Happy Land (or, if you refuse to believe will send you to BADLand for eternity!)...and HERE!- I can prove it to you on pages 401-520 & 772-805 of this here antiquated book of non-fiction, would you believe me?

It is, of course , the "true religion", because you know that, because it's the truth, because it says so in a book. Would you teach this to your child. Do you think some intellectual scrutiny might be called for here. What if the majority of others have believed for CENTURIES in the toilet tree fairy? Would that make a difference in your mind? How would feel about the toilet tree fairy giving you the "free will" to make a choice in this life - believe in it and live in peace eternally, or don't believe and be tortured forever? Simple. A. Believe and you're all good. B. Don't believe and you're goin' through the corrugated irrigation pipe and into the sewers of Hell!

LOL, TTC! Ah, well, I left out a few bits here and there. *Shuffles embarrassedly* *Hugs TTC and mumbles something about love & cookies into her shoulder*

Furiousblue, my sweetheart. *Smiles happily, blood from severed arm dripping lightly from lips* You can use the loo upstairs. That one's a false prophet!

Hey at least your story doesn't have inconsistencies in it like that other book we won't mention so as not to offend the christians who read it. Nor has the toliet fairy to my knowledge ordered anyone to kill their child, allowed anyone to commit genocide in their name (oh yeah except for the virgins) or sent their child to suffer in agony for people who never asked for it in the first place.

Mind you your fairy does't have the upstanding citizen of that other book, you know like Moses, or Lots daughters.

Your point is good. You are right, every child should have the freedom to believe whatever they choose. Ask a child if they believe in God, they will say yes. Give a child that can read a bible, a book of morman, a LDS bible, and every other type of material. Do not give that child educational material, only the books that claim to have the answers to a better life. Do this without encouraging them, without manipulating them. I can guarentee you they will choose the bible, and through that bible they will find Jesus. But you will not do that, because you want your child to 'find' the faith they desire. Therefore you wait until they are how old, then tell them you believe this or that, then you tell them to believe what ever? But give them the material, before they turn to the rebellious teenager phase, God is real, and so is Jesus, that is how I know beyond a doubt that those children who my God says they always have an angel standing before the throne of God, those children will always find God and Jesus. Try it my friend, or are you worried that I might be right? And please don't come back with another question about God being so real why do so many children die. He gave you the right to choose didn't He? What, His gift is hyprocrytical, and we only have the right to choose as long as it's the right choice? No even His prophets and only child were slain by this wicked world. He doesnt' take His gift away because we abuse it, He is not like men, He is God.

Most people grow up with the bible and think teaching it to children is saving them. I have read the bible and its just something I can't believe. I study Buddhism because I feel its better for my soul. I don't think people should push their beliefs on young child because its kinda brainwashing. No, I don't believe sewer faeries. The bible attacks people fears of the unknown, thats why its been around for so long. The messages are mixed but if someone can find soul lessons in it then more power to them.

Has this fairy ever healed anyone? Has this fairy ever died for the people it "supposedly" loves? Has it ever given people a word of knowledge and others they never knew? Has it told prophecy's that have come true? Is the ancient book that you reference fit into other writings of the time? Does it describe the culture in which it came from exactly?
If ALL of these you can answer yes too, then i think i'll change my religion too.

Thank you for the well designed and humorously presented question. I would say to read the Qoran. It answers many questions that no man's intellectual capacity is qualified to answer. Man's intellectual capacity may not compete with that of the Creator (Muslims call the Creator Allah). Allah placed many miracles in the book Qoran so that anyone who deeply looks at it may see them. Good luck to everybody.

The next spring I'd tap that tree and get some FANTASTIC maple syrup. Just be careful of the syrup with the floating chunks in it. LOL

My second reaction would be "I think I'll go down to the gas station on the corner and use the toilet there."

I plan on telling my girls about the bible as well as other religions. They will decide for themselves what they will believe if anything.
