Hey there!

Here's the answer.

4xn=9+3 --> Write the problem.
4xn=12 --> Add 9 and 3.
xn=3 --> Divide 4 on both sides of the equation.
n=3/x Divide x on both sides of the equation.

So the answer is n=3/x, where x does NOT equal to 0.

If you meant x as a multiplication sign, the answer is 4n=9+3, or 4n=12 or n=3.

Hope it helps!

so combin like terms so 9+3=12 so now the problem is 4xn+12, no ur gonna divide by 4 on both sides because you are trying to get n alone. So 12 divided by 4=3. The answer is n=3

n=3. Okay so all you have to do is add 9+3. Then put down your answer for 9+3. which it is 12. Try to see what times 4 equals twelve. Of course it is 3.

4 x n = 9 + 3
4 x n = 12
n = 12/4
n = 3

3/x

1. 4xn=9+3
2. 4xn=12
3. Divide both sides by four: xn=3
4. Divide both sides by x: n=3/x

So the answer would be n equals twelve over x.

Are you sure you didn't have the number for one of the other variables? If it was four times n equals twelve, just divide four by each side.
