A teenager comes home from school with a writing assignment. He asks
his father for help. "Dad, can you tell me the difference between
potential and reality?"


His father looks up, thoughtfully, and then says, "I'll display it to
you. Go ask your mother if she would sleep with Robert Redford for a
million dollars. Then go ask your sister if she would sleep with Brad
Pitt for a million dollars. Then come back and tell me what you've
learned."


The kid is puzzled, but he decides to see if he can figure out what his
father means. He asks his mother, "Mom, if someone gave you a million
dollars, would you sleep with Robert Redford?" His mother looks around
slyly, and then with a little smile on her face says, "Don't tell your
father, but, yes, I would."


Then he goes to his sisters room and asks her, "Sis, if someone gave you
a million dollars, would you sleep with Brad Pitt?" His sister looks up
and says, "Omigod! Definitely!"


The kid goes back to his father and says, "Dad, I think I've figured it
out. Potentially, we are sitting on two million bucks, but in reality,
we are living with a couple of whores."

I have put myself in the shoes of Jilly (although they are quite HUGE- but that is by the by) she of the Jiggling Jugs Inn fame.

You may have heard that she struck up a 'friendship' with an aquaintance of ours - He of the Broad Manly Chest and Tree Like Thighs who would chop down a small forest before breakfast for fun.

Well because of this huge compassionate Scottish heart that beats within this chest of mine (had he bothered to look it's not half bad actually - for me years) - and I understand that a lassy like herself cannot help but atttract the laddies. And she is to be shown mercy for the error of her ways.

The fact that I have a hoose full o' chickens who will likely never lay another egg having witness ed wit the two o' them were up ta behind the byre is another thing altogether.

And the poor wee puppy believes the McTealc was just rubbin' the wee dogs nose in the fact that he has just so recently been robbed himsen! Another victim then!

I have a packard bell and just carrie out a system restore where it stores my laptop back to when i first got it. I chose the optioon for partial system restore so i dont lose any of my files. I can now longer find my files, maybe they have been deleted, but there prob is a way i can retrieve them again. Just think how the police can retrieve details from any pc, does anyone know how i can do this?

i'm a 17 yr old teen who wants to work out so that i can get bigger and have a fit toned / muscle body. I'm currently very slim but quite toned. My question is why it taking me sooo long to get results. i know it will take a long time but all i want is DESCENT results 4 now.

I've been going the gym for the last 4 months, doing intensified workout but i watch what i do, sleep alot, eat alot /eat the right food, drink protein shakes, go to the gym mon -wed -fri & do different body parts each time & increase the weight each 2-3 weeks. I'm of chinese / Persian race & im 5ft 11 - im probaly still growing so i'l get taller too.

I just want to know whats keeping me back. Everyone else at the gym is bigger then, even though they are all older then me but i feel i work out hard but with no proper results. WHY IS THIS ? Is it because im still young and still growing - does genetics have a part to play ?

We have one black walnut tree & it produces heavier every other year - - this is that other year. Our mail maam needs a hard hat to enter the yard.

Is there any non-silly alternatives then just loading up the pickup & going to the farm to dump in the pasture? I heard from one guy that deer likes them.

I have always had windows microsoft, but recently my computer has been acting slow, and its really virus-prone. i have decided to get a new home computer (not laptop; i already have one). i am a freshman in college with a few roommates. i left my computer in our living room/dining room (lol typical college life) for my friends to use. however, within one year of owning my brand new store bought computer, my computer has become full of memory, user accounts, pictures, and well....viruses. so i am giving it to my kid brother. now....what should i buy? should i follow the ipod craze and buy an Apple or stick with what i know and love?? also, i HATE vista. and im not sure if they still make XP. thanks, Katie

I've read the Bible and it really didn't make any sense to me or prove anything to me. I didn't even think it was particularly well written or entertaining or relevant to modern times. So I don't understand what makes people believe the Bible, or books like it, is the word of God. It seems popular for people to refer to the Bible for proof that the Bible is true, but that doesn't make sense to me. That would be like me writing a research paper with the paper I'm writing as my source.

So what is it that makes people attach divine significance to these religious books?
