Yours truly,

(4 lines to allow for the signiture)

Grant Martin, (any degrees earned)
Director (title goes under the name and degrees)

There are proper setups for letters from top to bottom,

The date goes two lines from the company header, then 4-6 lines depending on the length of the letter to the adressee and their address,

Then 2 lines to the RE line, then 2 lines to the Dear.....
Then 2 lines to the letter, then at the bottom, 2 lines to the Yours truly, then 4 lines for the actual signiture and the degrees, for example PHD, then the title goes under it.

If your using a word processing program it comes with standard templates already set up for you if you need help.

I prefer the second one and when I type a letter I leave 3 or 4 spaces for my signature between the closing and my name and title.

how about. sincerely yours and I believe it is 3-4 spaces between the salutation and the name. there are computer programs that have templates they will set up the page for you so you don't have to do it by hand. most companies use templates and most computers have them built in. if yours do not then you should buy microsoft office you can get it at any computer or office store. I use it all the time to do resumes, ,buisness letters, thankyou letters, lists, and birthday greetings.

The second one. Leave enough space in between for him to sign it. He probably has a weird signature like most CEO's and Directors.

Sincerely,

Grant Martin
Director

Leave him enough room to sign it. Maybe 3 spaces.
