One of my good friends called me today crying. She said that her husband grabbed her wrist hard enough to hurt her because he was angry that she put something in the wrong place and wanted her to put it down when she tried to correct it. This is the second time that something like this has happened (the first time he pushed her a bit) and both times were in front of their children. The strange thing is and this leads me to my question, when he isn't angry anymore he swears he didn't lay a hand on her. In fact he says that she is making it up. She absolutely believes that he doesn't remember doing it, is that possible that someone could be so angry they forget doing something? She also doesn't believe it is abuse because it happens so rarely and when he isn't angry he is a really good husband/father, but I have noticed that he gets angry and yellsover pretty much nothing, he even yells at her in public sometimes. Would you consider that abuse and do you think it will escalate?

I would very much like to see a SEQUEL to the film in the present day of the classic science fiction film WHEN THE EARTH STOOD STILL or failing that a remake of the original in the present day that when Klaatu gets shot, he dies and doesn't get around to saying "Gort! Deglet ovrosco" - with the modern special effect these days, I think it would be very interesting to see what they could do with either story line, especially a sequel - say Gort came back for some reason - what do you think people - has anyone got any influence out there with Jerry Bruckheimer, Joel Schumacher people like that etc., or maybe it would suit better a director like David Twohy i.e. the excellent film The Arrival and Pitch Black one of the most innovative science fiction film makers I've ever seen or perhaps the crème de la crème of scienced fiction himself Mr. James Cameron - well he is in my humble opinion anyway - what do you think people - a good idea? If you don't think it's a good idea, please say so!

I broke up today. I realized that my current situation was not going to change. He couldn't honestly say that he loved me[after 4 years]. He said he "cared". I feel terrible. I had something like an addiction to him. I loved him very deeply ,but he can not even commit to spending more than a day or two with me at a time. He asked why I couldn't leave things as they were. A little support or honesty please! Any suggestions on dealing with the pain. I don't want to be the weekend girlfriend, but I feel I made a terrible mistake.

Several years ago there was a television show on A&E, Discovery, or TLC where they actually proved the JFK assasination was possible as stated by the Warren Commission. They proved with modern technology it was possible. Does anyone know the name of this show. some governments go to war to prevent alleged threats on their countries.. this way they kill and destroy others who are innocent to save their people. then there's no evidence to prove the potential threat.

Yes, I'd like some real science geeks to help me with this.
Factors:
1) The subject starts from a stand-still (relative to Earth).
2) We assume that even though the subject is gaining in mass as he approaches light-speed that the acceleration doesn’t slow.
3) We assume that the subject could be awake and be able to function reasonably that this g-force (i.e. eat, drink, play video games, change his clothes…)
4) Enlighten me as to what other physical problems might be encountered that I don’t know about.
