I hate to sound self-centered.
My best friend (and only friend) now has a girlfriend. I'm happy for him, but I've never been in this situation before.

I've never really had friends because I've never understood friendship well, being very timid.

So now I feel really left out, he's spending all his time with his girlfriend and doesn't seem to care about me.

How can I live alone without someone to talk to? I suffer from depression and I'm very depressed at the moment, so this is rather unbearable.

I know that you use the scripture about when Jesus was speaking to Peter about being the rock and upon that rock He will build His church. I was raised catholic so I understand what this means to you. Now, I take it as the rock meaning His truths about salvation, dying on the cross, raising from the dead, etc. It is upon this Rock (His truths) that the gates of hell cannot prevail, not a certain church. When I was growing up I was taught that only catholics go to heaven, I know it is different now. I just don't believe that there is one particular church, but a body of believers. The JW and Mormons believe they are the true church also. Please give me your opinions. Thank you. God Bless

Planning on getting a tattoo on my left and right side in some type of script writing.....need some suggestions of two words which are opposites....examples.....LIFE / DEATH (common) or LIVE HARD / DIE FREE (my favorite saying) or GOOD / EVIL (crappy one).....stuff like that.....thanx for your input

There is this guy at church that decorates the church the flowers, banners and everything. He also helps out a lot with the committees, planning of events and parties and is extremely involved and does an excellent job in his duties:

HOWEVER, he is rude, condescending, and drives people away by being obnoxious and jerky, and gossipy.
I know I shouldn't judge, but would you say his actions and deeds should overcompensate his personality or rudeness.
Or does he have a good heart, but just doesn't know how to talk or communicate with others.

Both my parents are in their 80's and don't have living wills. I know, I know. but it's tough to insist when they are so close to the end of their lives. Anyway, they aren't legally married but share a home and some rentals. Some things are owned together, some as sole proprietor. I'm from St. Louis and am considering applying at Costco. I am considering either a stocking position or something in their jewelry department as I have 2 years experience selling jewelry at a major department store. Can anyone help? Also, if anyone knows the hours the overnight stock crew works that would help. Thanks!
