well, what's YOUR story? we're from a place that encourages discourse.....it's okay to be able to comment and dissent others' opinions.....AND, we're from the MOST OBSERVED culture in the world, so the rest of the world doesn't necessarily keep up with the news in other parts of the globe as much as US news. most societies have debating sides, unless they're completely despotic and without basic liberties. you and the world just see us more....your question is a case in point; as you seem pretty hip to what are considered the "big stories" over here in the states today.
