In the name of love? To teach them to be better people? Can't anyone remember how it felt to be a kid?

Doesn't it seem like common sense that kids get driven deeper into their own world of kid-survival and become sneaky and phony when adults don't make any effort to RELATE to them at their age level?

Why do people think that kids asking for attention is *bad*? Maybe the kid needs attention.

What is the historical explanation for this? Does it stem from Germany? Didn't the English beat the crap out children, and the US was an English colony? Do people in Japan and India do this to their little, little kids?

Does it make you sad?

I really can't remember much but I believe there was quite a bit of magic and a big battle at the end. In one scene I remember the main character (a guy) was lured into a tent by a beautiful woman who turned into a spider and almost killed him. It took place in maybe a long time ago and I think the last battle ensued in a castle. It's not the Sword and the Sorcerer and I am having a very difficult time remembering anymore details. Any help would be great, thanks.

Hi, Well I have a family of four and month after month we notice that the power bill amount keeps getting higher but we are still using the same amount of power. So my question is: I was wondering if anyone knows a good solar-system company in Miami that sells solar-systems that I can use to power my aircondioting and house. But the most important thing is that I want it to power my airconditioning because I noticed that my airco's use alot of power.
And also it would help if the company exports the solar-system if you buy it.

Say a horse canters away from it's trainer in a straight line, moving 130.0 m away in 14.0 s. It then turns abruptly and gallops halfway back in 4.80 s. Use "away from the trainer" as the positive direction.

Where I work at an optometrist office, employee turnover is a lot 5 in a year on average. Everytime they hire someone its someone without experience that doesn't seem to have long gevity in mind. Now they hired one of those to cut glasses which is a fairly technical job and if its messed up customer service goes down fast. I am so tired of training new people without any exp. Also, I recently became certified as an optical assitant, (my job title is receptionist). I offered to do the assitant job when needed until the new person learns the lab fully then, pass on additional tasks to her as she is ready. Makes sense right? Good for the patients and us. Well my bosses looked at me like I was nuts and sort of blew me off. I am really frustrated at the whole situation. I have been here going on two years but it appears my suggestions aren't valued nor is my willingness to take on extra responsibility. Any suggestions?

By raising and lowering interest rates, the Fed can control unemployment. They even go as far as keeping millions of Americans out of work in order to stem off inflation. This tactic is also used to keep downward pressure on wages. If too many Americans have jobs, there will be too much pressure on employers to raise wages and offer more benefits. If they didn't then their employees would most likely just find work elsewhere if they didn't feel as though they were being fairly compensated. To date, no economist has been able to come up with another way to stem the tide of inflation. But does that make it right? When interest rates are higher, there's less economic activity, no one buys cars or houses and businesses hire less. But the jobs are low wage jobs, so it's not the doctors, lawyers, and CEO's who are getting hurt, it's the janitors, dish washers, cashiers, etc. who feel the squeeze. Any thoughts

In 86 I had a haircut that was the worst haircut I ever received, and then I had to pay for it. From that day on I decided that I could do a better haircut then that, and not have to pay for it! Since then I have been cutting my own hair. Anyone else cut their own hair?
