Elizabeth (answerer 2) is as correct as anyone could possibly be. However . . .
"Acme" has been much used a trade name, to suggest that the products supplied were the best available. For example, my mother had an "Acme" hand wringer for squeezing the water out of her washing. There must have been many other examples. The name was popularised in the Looney Tunes cartoons about Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner, where Coyote bought all manner of wacky lethal gadgets by mail order from the "Acme Corporation", and their variety gave rise to the spurious derivation "A Company Making Everything". This is an example of a "backronym", a set of words made up to match the letters, instead of an "acronym" which is the other way round, words first and initials afterwards.
