In 86 I had a haircut that was the worst haircut I ever received, and then I had to pay for it. From that day on I decided that I could do a better haircut then that, and not have to pay for it! Since then I have been cutting my own hair. Anyone else cut their own hair?

i do.. i'm only 14 though, i've been cutting it for like 1 year and a half. Once in a while i mgo to a professional to get it cut, but my moms too cheap to take me all the time. I hate it.. but i love my hair.:)

I had to live in the middle of nowhere for a few years, and I could not find a decent hair cutter there. My hair eventually reached half way down my back, and I decided that it was long enough for me to cut + manage myself. I just brushed all of my hair forward and used elastic to gold it while I cut the length (making sure the hair was pulled symmetrically, first). This gives a layered effect. Next, I parted my hair down the back of my head in the center, bring the halves to the front, and combed the lengths flat across either shoulder. I then cut the lengths straight across - this gives you the "V" across the back. I would then enlist the aid of a neighbor or a friend to round off the point of the "V"
I did this for about 3 years, and was much happier than going in for yet another random trauma at yet another hair place over there.

I have been given no have been with attempting to locate training on the internet. there have been some that charged money for tapes/cd's. come across a woman which you be conscious of that may minimize hair and get your self a pair of sissors. an electric shaver will finally end up with a buzz form no count the form you do it.

I've been cutting mine for about 7 years. It saves so much money. I am also known as the "family barber." I've cut everyone's hair at some point. It's such a money saver :)

I have cut my own hair (only when the girls in the salons are to busy to get to it). But here again I know what I'm doing.
I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.

My mom cuts my hair. My hair is pretty simple and it is alot cheaper than going to the barber.
