I need to know for Civics class. We have to pretend we're immigrants who went through Ellis Island and now we are writing a letter to someone. The immigrant is steerage class, and one of the answers I must include in a paragraph is to the question, 'What did you bring on board?'

I am only 27 (female). I have been feeling pressure in the left side of my neck (sometimes down to my collar bone area) for quite some time, on and off. It gets worse when I eat alot and sometimes after I smoke a cigarette (I know, I HAVE to quit).

I went to the doctor who put me on a heart monitor and said everything was ok. This was about 2 years ago. I honestly dont recall if they did a sonogram. I have been having a weird 'pressure' feeling in my left lung area and they did a sono of that (it was nothing but I still feel it) so they might have sono'd my neck at the same time,,,i dont remember. They did x-rays of my chest, there was also nothing. I had kidney stones a year ago.

I do have high cholesterol. I am 5'9 190 lbs. I know I need to quit smoking, lose weight, etc but does anyone think they might know what this is? I started a new job and dont have insurance until Decemeber. Thanks.

It's a small hand grenade, it is missing that pin that you pull in order to arm it and it's been around for almost 5 years. Is there any chance it may blow? I keep it on display as an ornamental piece and someone else has kept it before me. So...is there something to worry about?...

I am about 3 weeks late on my period this week, so my husband and I went and took a pregnancy test, but it came back negative. So now yesterday I started heavy, clotted bleeding. My normal period is very normal, light for 4 or 5 days, and this has been SUPER heavy, dark, and clotty. I have also been very nauseous and especilly to certain smells...Could this be a sign of a miscarriage, or could something else be wrong, or is this just a normal menstrual cycle and heavier or something?

I know these vectors can be simplied to the following equations, but i do not know how to solve 3 variables with 4 equations:

I plan on moving to Los Angeles in June/July of next year. I've been looking for over a year and studying the city and places and all that and I've found some pretty good looking apartments in nice neighborhoods for around $700-$1400 a month. $700 being for a studio or one bedroom and $1400 for a two bedroom, I'm hoping to get a roommate when I get out there or before I get out there.

I willing to live with the bare minimums for a while when i get there..i heard that goodwill is a good place to find furniture. I will most likely have a Toyota Prius by the time i move out there or another hybrid car because of gas and the only other thing I'm bringing with me besides that will be clothes, a $60 a month cell phone bill, and $106 a month car insurance payment...which I will probably have a few months already paid for in advance.

I am a pharmacy technician here in Tuscaloosa, AL making $9.50/hr and hope I can find another pharmacy technician job in LA once soon after I get there.

You may think that it's not a big deal, but it's a huge deal. This teacher is totally disorganized, and she never tells the class what the homework is. So far it's the 3rd week of school, and I've already missed 3 assignments, and so has the rest of the class. She expects us to check our school website for the homework, but on the website her homework descriptions aren't detailed, and on a few occasions it's not even on the website. I've even talked with her about how I don't know whats going on the in the class, and how I feel it's disorganized. Yet nothings changed and I feel like I'm going to miss more and more homework. I've talked with the counselor because I wanted to change teachers, and he said there's nothing he could do. I've also asked previous students of hers, and they all got C's or D's because of constantly missing homework, due to her disorganization. What should I do?

The power company wants to use 700 square feet of our 1/2 acre property as a public easment. The person I spoke with told me that they had the right to use the property and that we would be paid $1.38 per square foot. totaling $1002.32. Is this fair. I really don't know what to think???
